6 months prison is probably the maximum sentence that can be applied to this particular offence. Which is why they're running with it.

What I don't understand is why haven't the player care officers or whatever they are called seemingly not doing much?
Surely they can tell him if you want to go anywhere ring this number and the club will organise a cab or something.
Unless he is playing away and doesn't want it getting out.
