If we're selling Tevez, surely that means we have a nailed-on striker replacement ready to sign on. I can't see him being sold without an equal or better replacement lined up.

His attitude towards the club bears no link to his value as a player.

Again, I'm pointing out your criteria used to justify £9m for Tevez was wrong.

Yes, because Tevez went walkies for 6 months but that doesn't detract from his abilities.

He's a world class player, and for you to say that £9m for a player of 28/9 years of age, last year of his contract and had seen better days is a very poor attempt to justify it given that that exact criteria can be applied to someone like RVP.

When was the last time you saw him race on to a through ball and round the keeper?

Only goals he scores now are fantastic long range shots and the odd tap in.

He's a quality player, but no longer at his best. Therefore we should be thanking our lucky stars if someone wants to buy him, because it will enable us to bring in a replacement

That's even worse criteria for justifying it, I don't even understand the logic. When was the last time Dzeko?
