We need to sign Carlos for another year at least. Squad would't be the same without him. Hes a 100% footballer, a rarity at the Etihad.

We will do something daft and sell him for pennies like we did with dejong due to his mental wages.

De Jong wasn't sold because of wages, he was the first under what you'd call 'mancini's' team to speak out!
Just your opinion or inside information. Pretty damning accusation that.

I thought it was a combination of Nige turning down a new contract and the club's "sell before you buy" policy.

But that's just my opinion as I appear to one of the very few on here that hasn't any inside knowledge :(

That's not a dig at Zin, I like Zin

Carlos to Atletico? Can't get a price on Oddschecker for AM as his next club. Can get all other teams but not Atletico. Will call tomorrow to see if I can get a price.

The problem with Tev and a new deal is currently his wages aren't taken into consideration during the ffp calculation, if he signs a new deal they are, as good as tev has been this season, is he worth 200+ grand a week for the next two years?. I'd say sell and reinvest but I understand why people would want him to stay.

If he is going to go a swap deal with di Maria wouldn't be a bad option,I love Carlos though he gives 100 % every time he pulls on the shirt .
It does seem like city want to let him go though.

Who/what did he speak out against?
Was it Mancini who wanted him out?

Apparently Mancini thought De Jong had too much influence in the dressing room...

I don't know if its true or not, just something that was mentioned.

I thought the club and his agent couldn't agree a sizeable increase on a new contract

That's what i thought at first, but it doesn't make sense though because he's earning slightly less at Milan than he was during his time here. He's on roughly £50k pw, whereas he was on £55k during his time here.

Would you bring De Jong back?
