If it's that sure then we must have someone ready - surely we would not go into the season with just Dzeko and Aguero as proven strikers

You do realise that the season does not start for nearly 3 months

All these Tevez stories seem to be coming from Tuttosport who base it on Paddy Power suspending betting. Anyone got anything else?

Can't say I'd be overly unhappy with him going. Then again, I can't say I want him out of the club. Not really bothered on this one.

Same as. Still a very good player but not what he was 2 years ago. 2 more years in Europe then back to Boca ? A 4 year contract with Juve ?

The mark of the man.

We owe him nothing.

Meh

11 million Euros apparently, city really do get the piss taken out of us when it comes to selling players, these Italian clubs must laugh themselves silly when they deal with us...pathetic....that is if it's not a load of crap

Out of interest how much is a guy who's 28/9, seen better days and in the last year of his contract worth? If we get €11m it's a superb bit of business!!!

About £22m....

Yeh I am sure Txiki let them walk all over him.

What would you rather do, keep him for one season banking 200k a week and him walking away for nothing.

or get the 11mil and put that towards replacing him with someone who will be here for the foreseeable future.

i'm kind of underwhelmed by 11 million euros, but i'm not running the club. i trust the guys who ran barca to not be morons, so if we save a lot of money on wages + bonus + whatever his fee, then i think we should be trusting txixi/sorriano.

It's okay, not superb. Would have expected around €17m for him all things considered.

About £22m....

Haha- 2 year ago, he's shot mate, €11 is sweet if true!!

As someone who keeps an eye on the foreign media for City stories, I can say there is not one reliable source on this Tevez story yet. They are citing PADDY POWER paying out early for Christ sake.

and if it also saves the loyalty clause apparently someone said he has of £6M ..

I see no, little at most, difference between this situation and RVP.

28/29 years of age, like you said.

Last year of their contracts, like you said.

Arguably, regarding RVP, at the time given injuries both have seen better days, like you said.

Both sought after by big clubs.

Yet we get £9m and Arsenal got £22m...

If you factor in the fact RVP openly said he wanted to leave it's even worse.

The contract Kia got him screwed us bigger than Debbie does Dallas- it's the best part of £250k a week off the wage bill and nearly half of what we payed from his 3rd party ownership debacle- it's a superb deal and one that interestingly gathering pace today of all days........

Strokes chin (:

Has a point to be fair.

Only if you grant the point that RvP had seen better days. He was Arsenal's best player when he was sold and led the league in goals if I'm not mistaken. A fair bit of difference between that and the season Tevez just ahd.

Difference is RVP was coming off the back of the season of his life carrying Arsenal to the Champions League. Tevez hasn't had half the season just gone IMO. 11 million euros is still too little, but I wouldn't expect RVP money for him. 15m should be more than fair.

Don't be silly, rvp has, including this year, been the stand out striker in the prem for 3 years, was on 100k a week and shown tremendous loyalty to his club, tevez has been a twat and with that it deflates his value- it's called upward and downward curve, tevez is the 2nd one!
