If theyre after Tevez, that leaves Real aloooot of free money for other players (compared w cavani or bucktooth)

They will still go for Cavani or Suarez.

You have Ronaldo on one wing, Bale on the other and then Tevez is best played behind the stiker so he can rotate with Ozil, Benzema and Cavani/Suarez rotation for the number 9 position.

Madrid will go balls deep in the market this Summer, I think Perez will want to do whatever he can to get the better of Barca and get the tenth CL.

Tevez is the replacement for Higuian. They could still go get Cavani, Suarez, or Bale. Nothing really changes.

Real might offer us more than the derisory fees Milan and Juve would at least. But how will Real line up with Benzema, Ronaldo, Tevez, Suarez, Bale and Cavani up top? ;)

-------Cavani/Benzema------
Ronaldo--Tevez/Ozil--Bale/Di Maria

Carlos' stats speak for themselves. His stats for City, 124 starts - 79 goals - 29 assists. We could do an awful lot worse than to keep Carlos. Love him or hate him, Carlos Tevez is one of, if not our best player. Any squad in world football would be improved with the addition of Carlos. He can single handly win you a game, which he has done many times for us and we should be doing all we can to get an extension to his contract.

So from 124 games he started he had a combination of 108 goals or assists and people still ignoring all these facts and numbers and only focusing on one word called "clinical" to keep undermining him !

From all accounts we have put Tevez up for sale at around £10m and apparently he is willing to lower his earnings to around £100k a week at Milan, if he is going to do that why are we not keeping him?

What puts many off him at City is his wages and I suppose if he was on £100-150k a week I don't see many blues wanting to get rid at all, he may not be the striker he was but as a number 10 I firmly believe he is one of the best in Europe.

If he goes to Madrid and has a good season he will get them 15-20 goals in all competitons and 15-20 assists in all competitions, which is similar to what he gave us this season.

If Madrid buy him for around £10m and pay him wages of around £100k a week and he goes and gets those figures I mentioned we are going to look a joke in terms of selling him.

Could we not use Carlos to get higuain? A cheap deal and still saving on wages. Add to the fact wenger would go apeshit!! :-)

Okay you have Carlos, we'll have Isco. Wouldn't mind a Di Maria deal in there though.

If they included Di Maria then for sure I would deal with Real, it would soften the blow of sel;ing him so cheap.

His 2 transfer requests has played a major part in his transfer fee and with him only having 12 months on his contract has left City with not much bargaining power imo.

Agree.

Did someone say Tevez will take a pay cut to leave?! Not a chance this is his last big contract he and his agent will know this he will expect a pay rise if anything. Carlos is entering the last year of his contract in 6 months he can begin to talk to clubs about a free transfer, he is a good player certainly but he isn't one of our best his first two seasons for city were amazing but then we signed Aguero who became our first choice striker and after that Tevez has had to play a different role. Don't think Pellegrini rates him as we has made moves for Isco AND cavani which if we got both I couldn't see a starting role for Tevez, yes we have pulled out of the Cavani deal but that clearly show we were looking to replace him.

The latest explanation for the poor scoring record of Tevez this last season is that, under Mancini's instructions, Tevez dropped back too much into mid-field, in contrast to his "golden years". In fact, the first instinct of Tevez is to run towards the man with the ball. It can be very endearing. [It is one reason I wanted to call our new puppy Tevez back in the summer of 2010! Fortunately my wife would not agree.] Sometimes this involves Tevez running towards an opposing defender - and this particularly delights his fans, even when there is no prospect of him winning the ball. But, more often than not, it involves running towards a City player and demanding the ball.

Tevez has always dropped back looking for the ball. After City's game against Reading in March 2011, Sam Allardyce explained (on ESPN) how he had engineered at draw for Blackburn at the Etihad early that season. The gist was this:

"City play possession football. But they are normally set up with Carlos Tevez up front BUT HE DOES NOT REALLY PLAY UP FRONT. As a result, they have to play a lot of sideways passes to make their way upfield and they hope to create scoring chances with little passes through opposing defences. But if teams are given the time to get 9 men behind the ball, it is extremely difficult to break them down."

The golden years of Tevez were not as amazing as they are often portrayed, particularly given that most of City's attacking strategy was directed at enabling him to score. In his Golden Boot season, if penalties are excluded, he scored just 15 goals at 167 minutes per goal. In 4 seasons for City, ignoring penalties, he has scored 43 premier league goals at 195 mpg.

Over his entire premier league career, ignoring penalties, he has scored 71 goals at 205 mpg. In comparison, again ignoring penalties, Dzeko has scored 94 Bundesliga + PL goals at 140 mpg; Aguero has scored 103 Primera Division + PL goals at 172 mpg.

The international scoring record of Tevez is not great (it is not even as good as Cavani). According to wiki, including penalties, Tevez has 13 goals in 62 appearances, compared to 20 in 50 for Aguero and 29 in 54 for Dzeko.
