If Pelli could get the Tevez of two years ago then we would be very very close
What, the one that went on a golfing holiday in the middle of the season?

Yes the same one whom when he came back Mancini played him in the final games of the season - the very same one

If Pellegrini is such a man motivator then maybe we can get Carlos back - he werent too shabby last season either

Thats a great response

There are plenty to go before him and whilst i agree a long term contract is not viable a 12 month extension would be welcome, i am not a Tevez fan boy the problem is whom are you going to buy whom has the work rate and quality to replace him and that is the issue

He is still a top 4 player

If he wont ding an extension then yes punt him but realistically we then need to pull a rabbit out of the hat to replace him

And yet not a squeak from any of the top 4' 6, 8 ?

I do take your point though. Just don't think he 's the player he was and we do need to punt him on. I don't understand why a lot think we have to replace him with a 'like for like'.

We'd need a replacement, but it wouldn't have to be a Tevez clone......

Wages and i doubt he would want to drop out of the Chumps League

Rags would never have him back
Le Arse would not pay the wages dont fit with Wenger whom has always bought cheap
Chelski yes but i dont think we would sell him to them and i dont see him as a mouriniho signing

Plop pool would have him tomorrow but he aont goiing ot drop to a non CL team and Spuds ownt pay his salary there is nobody else in the prem

His options are limited and Italy is the most obvious

A top player and been a fantastic player for us but I think his time is up.
He doesn't seem to want to stay and if there is the chance to get some cash for him now you can bet Soriano will take it purely for FFP reasons.

@DeadlineDayLive: Juventus officials will fly to England today to agree a fee with Manchester City for Carlos Tévez. Terms agreed. (Source: Football-Italia)

Juve, with positive call City: leaving for Tévez

Positive phone, suitcase ready. At 10, as expected, there was telephone contact between Juventus and Manchester City. It 'went well, because Tévez has now solved all these things with the City and then the Bianconeri have had the green light to go. The trip is planned soon, perhaps today may be the day of Tevez, Juventus certainly will try to close. Also fundamental methods of payment: The Bianconeri want to understand how many installments (annual) grant Manchester City. Meanwhile, there is the certainty: this is the mission starts for Carlos Tévez.

If true we are getting a little thin on the striker front!

Aguero (injuries!!) Dzeko (inconsistent & moody) Guidetti (recovering from injury not played at top level!)

We will get somebody for sure.

I'd take it.

Same here. The guy has done his bit for us and for that I'll be forever grateful. But IMO he will start to slow down now and offer less of a threat in forward positions particularly in the PL so let's get what we can for him and free us his wages. He ain't worth the £190K a week now.

If there's a reasonable offer on the table I'd let him go.

One of the best players I've ever seen in a city shirt, but he's in decline now.

Again, as with Milner, I'd only allow this if a proper replacement is already boxed off.

If this happens then we HAVE to sign a replacement who is as good if not better than Tevez. Fuck me I hope the club knows what they are doing.
Panic not StHB believe me they know exactly what they are doing, plans are in place and players lined up as replacements. Onwards and upwards!

Very close this now, they're going to discuss payment style and installments. Hopefully they also request Kolarov while they're here.

It will be interesting in who Begiristain and Pellegrini will bring in as a replacement.
