There's no doubt the American owned clubs will alter the way our game is structured, they like guaranteed money and they will try and ensure their place at the table. How these clubs with their debt can point the finger at us is incredible but mainly down to our weak media, Delaney, sky, Neville et al are all part of the problem.

Yes, I suspect there are still quite a few who class the City "project" as a flash in the pan. Anyone with even a small modicum of understanding must realise the behemoth City and CFG are becoming.

You’d imagine the Mail, the Grauniad, the WhatsApp group and UEFA will be all over this story from February, with an enquiry and disciplinary proceedings to follow………..Not holding my breath as there seems to be no Arab angle, no City angle and it does involve one of the ’history boys’.

I used to be surprised that no club looked at our model with CFG and thought "there's a good idea" and copied it. Looking at those figures then not one of them could afford it.
