I gave up after two minutes.....
Just out of curiosity because I don’t know but who paid for Maine road to be built?
@Gary James is your man for this one.As far as I'm aware it was the club and I've never seen or heard of anything to contradict that.
I'm really intrigued by this obsession with Sam Lee. What you just said was a lie.
He's literally just responded to Bayern's CEO saying "it was a bad day for football" with "why can't they wait for the full release?" - which is exactly the sentiment of City fans.
He's also said today he thinks the full award will be great for City, with the reasoning that it's why Guardiola was bullish in the press conference.
Yesterday someone came on here and said he was retweeting a highly critical article from a liverpool echo writer - an outright lie. It didn't happen. But the usual crew piled in on it, as they will from this complete fiction.
It's just so bizarre. I've never even seen it with people that every City fan hates like Delaney. No one just completely invents things they've said.
Plus of course the club didn't pay a penny towards the costs of construction of OT in the first place. That was covered 100% by their first sugar daddy John Henry Davies. And the rags have the brass neck to claim City got a free stadium.
Since when have Barcelona operated with a £40m surplus to pay this sort of money back each year. They have been sinking further and further into debt year on year. There will be state funding by the back door to cover this sort of debt. I’d also have as a guess that the stadium rebuild costs will hugely overrun. Another year of zero attendance at the Camp Nou could hit the Catalan tax payer very hard because there will no doubt, be a state bailout and I wonder what senor Tebas will make of that?
Put it this way when Pep signs a new contract, Sam’s next article will be “Pep stays for now - but who will replace him?”.
My point isn’t a lie and it’s down to his general stance since Monday that we still don’t know if City were actually guilty or not.
The CAS award clearly stated that City did not disguise sponsorship.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they have lobbied the Government for funding on the off chance the World Cup hosts of 2022 get the World Cup taken off them...just so they can be ready...Correct that is the case, didn’t they also get state funding for building a stand prior to Euro 96?
That is a good point, I was presuming it was UEFA or ourselves asking for some details to be removed and then having to go back and forth to get a final draft. CAS surely can't have been impressed by the likes of Tebas calling them out, perhaps they got a bit pissed at them and will make a point of highlighting stuff they might otherwise have not bothered with.I wonder if the public questioning of their integrity will make CAS change the content of the full award? There's a lot in these things that seems to be left unsaid, but if people are undermining their suitability to make fair decisions they might have an interest in making some things more explicit.
They did go from it coming out in "a few days" to some point next week.
