CAS judgement: UEFA ban overturned, City exonerated (report out p603)

I thought it was some procedural issue that we lost on rather than anything substantive? The legal system has such lengthy backlogs now it’ll probably be years before anything emerges.
I honestly can't see a situation where this can come back. It is a legal process which dates back to alleged offences in 2013 which we have already been punished for. To push for a further sanction almost a decade after an alleged breach of FFP which has already been comprehensively thrown out by an independent legal body would undermine the credibility of the PL.

The punishment (the fine for not co-operating) was from UEFA though, the PL have their own rules and they're not dependant on the UEFA case.

Maybe the Premier League could look at law breaking with hundreds of supporters breaking into a stadium, causing actual bodily harm to policemen, forcing a PL postponement or the first time ever and acting as a precedent for the disgusting scenes that took place at the Euro final.
I find it incredible that like the obvious corruption and breaking of the law that is going on in Govt and beyond this seems to just go unchallenged.
As well as Man Ure meeting with the Clown in Number 10 prior to the super league announcement.
This sucking up to the red shirts by the media and the PL and FA in order to keep their noses in the trough is disgusting. WHY does it continue?

Credibility of the PL? That’s a new angle

2nd time btw, they left a 'bomb' in the stadia and had that match postponed as well.

But how the fuck they have got away with rioting and injuring a policeman into the bargain is anybody guess?

It is a disgrace all around and Ratface backing them on Sky should have cost the little **** his cushy job but then they are happy to have the other main guy spitting in young girls faces.

Wankers.

What I remember is how extraordinarily quick the journos were to brush it off as a win solely on a technicality.

Talk about taking an L...

It strikes me, looking back, that the arguments advanced on Bluemoon were far superior to anything in the press. A feather in the cap of Stephan, Colin and others. I enjoyed that time immensely and (check my posts) I never had the slightest doubts that we would be cleared.
The whole thread educated me. I trusted their opinions which as you say empowered one should it become shall we say a topic for discussion with others.
The problem was that others had been fed just one side by the media including TV and press.
I recall speaking with my brother (another CTID) the day before the Cas verdict, I found he was totally unaware that City could be anything but guilty brought about by his daily diet of Sky. BT and BBC sport.
He, an ardent City fan, ridiculed my belief in our resident experts that true justice would prevail.
Needless to say he rang me here in Spain with his apologies.
Once again thanks to all who contributed to my strong belief against an almost unanimous wave of vindictive lying propaganda from those who claim to bring the news yet distorted it.

Couldn’t agree more but what is depressing me a lot is how to balance loving watching us play but hating almost everything else about the game, especially the media. Everything you describe is a case in point
