However don't hold out to much hope on Cavani, City won't pay whats being asked and there chairman is a ruthless twat, would love him though, he's a step up on how tevez use to play, full of running/workrate and extremely clinical. still would of preferred RVP though, he'd of been superb in our current system.

Swap Paulinho for Isco, put Yaya where Silva was and Silva wide where Isco was and I'm with you. I prefer Yaya further forward, and if we had that kind of presence centrally with the attacking threat of the others on front, Gaz would have a bit less to do; the opposition would have to be pretty circumspect.

I'd have Milner and Isco on the bench to swap with with either Yaya/Barry and Silva/Agüero respectively.

Love Cavani. Think he's a beast.

Silva requires the central role to get the best out of him, allows him to flow from left to right and hurt teams through all channels, he's wasted out wide imo...

Yaya needs to be the anchor, he's the only player in our team who can dictate tempo and play, what yaya is missing is someone to take those reigns for the last 20 mins so he can push on, not had that reliable cover since NDJ left, also Barry probably has 18 months left with us, we need to be preparing for this asap, milner isn't the long term answer...

If we manage to bag Paulinho, which i've heard is done for the summer, and strong indications with Isco also, we'd have so much variety again, coupled with undoubted quality!!!

Cavani is a first class predator, an opportunist.
He thrives on mistakes by defenders or speedy counter- attack.
Better than Dzeko? Not so sure.
He would fit in united's team as they play percentage football and have very fast wingers.
Our play is more deliberate, sometimes predictable, With us it would be waste of money.
A striker like this is considered an alternative for us just like with Barca's system
You don't pay 45mill for an alternative
We would have to drastically change our speed of player, perhaps even our style.

Better than Dzeko? Not so sure.

As much of a fan of Cavani as I am, I can't believe there's been such a reaction when this story came out of The People.

I agree with on the Silva part, would rather have him central. In regards to Barry, I always thought Rodwell is the long-term replacement for him? As for Yaya, if Razak continues to develop, I reckon he could really the next Yaya. He has the physical presence Yaya has, the proper tackles he makes just needs to work on his attacking attributes, although I think he can a pass a ball fairly well.

If Barry leaves, there would be three players fighting for his position.

The only deep-lying playmaker (realistically) I'd love to see join City is Benat, class player.

Hello yall!
I just saw this rumor regarding Cavani :D!
Man City make 45m pound Cavani bid

Manchester City has launched a 45 million pound bid for Napoli forward Edinson Cavani. The Uruguay international has scored 13 goals in 15 Serie A matches this season.

Cavani would be a great replacement given that Aguero got injured last game, but really Mancini another striker? We should use our money more wisely maybe on a Midfielder or on a Defender.
