How could anyone want Neymar?
Do we want another Robinho, who just costs us more?

Robinho was known to be problematic half-arsed player even before he joined Madrid and lived that reputation til today.

I used to be cautious and had similar line of thinking about Neymar when first news about him were coming but he is out there for years now and there is nothing but positive stuff about his approach so far. And if you can't see quality there, may God help your football soul :)

There are "few" other players that came to Europe from Brazil in last few decades so there's barely a point of sticking exclusive Robinho mark to Neymar.

There's no doubt that there's quality there, but I'm not sure it's enough to justify the 50m+ price tag.

I get your point but I've got every confidence in Cavani, he's the nearest thing I've seen to an all round striker for a long time.

Dare i say it, he reminds me of Van Nistelrooy

As a man with his finger on the pulse, I take it you are still confident Cavani remains our number 1 target and given all the noises he is making in the media, a move is looking positive ... in your opinion of course ;) ?

Don't know where that came from, but would be good news if it's true. "Apparently", Falcao doesn't want to go Chelsea.

Doubt he'd cost that much and I agree, he is definitely not worth it.

But whatever money some club pay for Neymar half of that amount will be due to his marketing potential and other half for football one. That's just one of transfers that can't be fail financially. Football related - yes, each one can be fail so Neymar's one too but financially no.

I hope and pray this is true. Falcao is a winner and would fit so snug into our team. I would rather him over any other obtainable player in the world right now. Forza falcao

Suarez wants Uruguay team-mate Cavani to join him in the Premier League

He said: 'When I speak with Luis he speaks with admiration about Liverpool and the Premier League. He even encourages me to play in England.'

Speculation, meanwhile, continues to mount about Suarez's own future in England, with Bayern Munich and Juventus exploring the opportunity of luring the former Ajax man away from Anfield.

Cavani is convinced he striker is happy with his lot, but admits the longer Liverpool stay out of the Champions League, the harder it will be for the club to keep their leading man.

He explained: 'The fact is that Luis is one of the top strikers in the world and he wants to be playing Champions League football.

'Of course, Liverpool are not going to make it this season. But of they don't make it next season then they will have a problem.

Luis would love to play in the Champions League with Liverpool. But if he can't then a player of his quality needs to play for a club where he can.

'I know it meant a lot when Liverpool stood by him through some tough times and he has a lot of love for the club and their fans.'

I can't make sense of that. Are you saying that spending £50 million on Neymar cannot be a failure financially?

yup, In last 2 seasons Cavani has scored 33 and 33 goals, on course for the same number or more this season. Falcao had 38 for Porto in 10/11, 36 in 11/12 and heading for a similar number this season.
