Further confirmation that Edinson Cavani is Real Madrid bound.

The South American has also expressed a preference to play in a side that suits his style of play. Clearly the La Liga style of play will suit him rather than the claustrophobic, defensive style of play (in marking players aggressively) in our Premier league, is not, as has already been mentioned on here by another contributor on her this week, suited to his style.

I think Manchester City will have to look elsewhere for a top striker - as both Cavani and Falcao are nailed on for Real and Chelski, respectively.

Higuain would be my solution.
don't understand why everyone says Higuain, he just doesn't strike me as the one that would rectify the problem we have in front of goal. Hasn't exactly been exceptional this season for Madrid.

Di Maria is the one we want from there if we are looking at Argies.

Right side of 4-3-3 solved.

hmm, and then someone like Isco/Jovetic for the left? And Aguero in the center? That sounds like it could work.

There are so many unknowns that will have a big effect

Champions league ie City and Chelsea need top 3

Where mourninho goes?

What Madrid does this summer?

These probably all need to be decided before this deal comes in to play !

Also I bet neymar is our number one target so we will try there first and foremost!

Yep Madrid will have a new manager and always make 1 marquee signing just hope they stay away from us.

If Real or Barca go for either player, that's where they will end up and no-one will argue with that. But Chelsea? It is looking like they have a desperate battle on to qualify for the Champions League, and if they don't make the cut, Falcao will only be going there for the type of money that makes our players look like they are on peanuts. He certainly won't be going there for the chance to impress in Europe's top competition. With the loss of Champions League income, Chelsea will have to backtrack and ditch FFP to make Falcao's signature happen, and if they get away with it, the gloves will come off at City.

People on here seem to quickly forget this quote from his dad:

"Falcao has always wanted to play in the Premier League... Ever since he was a boy he has loved Chelsea and has always thought it would be an honour to play for a big Premier League team."

Although it should probably be taken with a pinch of salt, since he's said similar things about Real Madrid.

but where would that leave david silva? dont think dave can play in a centre role in a 4-3-3

not to mention Falcao has said he isn't joining Chelsea. We just have to wait until the summer to see what happens.
