Personally i think Cavani would be Dzeko all over again. World class in there respective league but not quite right for the prem.
Falcao > Suarez > Cavani would be my order for the summer.

I kind of think the same as Cavani is a great counter-attacking player, but he scored a delightful free kick goal yesterday so his skill is undeniable. I'd rather Falcao myself but if we could negotiate with napoli and not pay the ridiculous fee they're talking it'd be a good buy.

Let's not forget both Atletico and Napoli are fighting for CL spots so there may be a good chance neither player moves this summer.

with all respect to Dzeko, Cavani is in another league. He's a monster, he'd be perfect for us.

So was dezko in bundelsiga when he and grafite rip the league apart with wolfsburg and he still continue to score important goals even the doesn't fit in our sistem...tbh i''l take falcao or suarez over cavani any day

I agree, a beast of a player and all round striker

Strong, physical, dynamic and great first touch

I was in Naples this week and apparently his dad has said that there's a 50% cent chance of him going to Madrid.

-- Sun Mar 31, 2013 4:14 pm --

Yeh but if you watch two youtube videos of Dzeko at Wolfsberg and Cavani at Napoli you'll see the difference.

With all this talk that he won't leave for less than his release clause I kind of doubt we may get him. Napoli's president is a di.khead and negotiations would be a pain in my opinion. We'll see what happens it's just my two cents!

Falcao has 21 goals in 25 La Liga games (+ 1 assist), from 88 shots. 1 goal per 4.19 shots.

Cavani has 22 goals in 27 Serie A games (+ 2 assists), from 117 shots. 1 goal per 5.3 shots.

Van Persie, the man either would be brought in to try and match, has 19 goals in 30 Premier League games (+ 8 assists, a stat that can't be overlooked). 1 goal per 5.78 shots.

Falcao is more clinical but the difference isn't as huge as some make out. One thing in Cavani's favour is he works harder tracking back. However, Falcao's movement in the box is superior, superior to just about any striker in the world in fact.

The reason I think Mancini would prefer Cavani is what I said, the way he puts in a shift and you will sometimes see him sprinting back to help out. Mancini has a borderline obsession with everyone playing their part defensively, you won't get this with Falcao but will with Cavani. Most managers would favour Falcao I think but I believe Cavani is the one Mancini wants (but is Mancini calling the shots anymore?).

I agree with all of that but would also add Cavani's game suits the Prem more with him being physical and stronger with his stats proven against Italian defences.

Don't get me wrong, Falcao is clinical and his stats prove this but the same thing was said about Forlan before he come to the Prem and we all know what happened there?
