Cavani & Falcao

If United get Falcao my money is definately on Rooney doing a Scholes and dropping into midfield.

I personally think he can do a job there because Carrick will do all the sweeping up and Rooney can ping balls around for fun on his day and can contribute and can possibly do a Lampard and score a shed load from midfield.

Rooney's workrate is second to none in the league as well.

We cannot let this happen either way!! Next year will be very hard.

When it comes to all things Madrid and Atletico, Marca are usually bang on as both the two big Madrid clubs seem to leak a lot out to them.

Its not so much that I wouldn't want Rooney here because he isn't quality, because he's top drawer on form, its that his form is dipping and he's a detestable character who's played for the rags. Tevez, for the record, isn't a fan of mine, but I get on with him because he evidently isn't a fan of United at all.

I'd take Falcao myself, based on seeing slightly more of him and that Cavani when dreadful, really is dreadful, whereas Falcao never really lets his form dip a whole lot.

is Tevez actually bothered about you at all?

No but then I doubt half the players for United slagged off are either, are you going to pick everyone out there too?

On Falcao and Manchester United (don't look for certainties, only one)

For those of you who are looking for certitudes, for black or whites, for ‘never mind negotiations, is he definitively going?’, stop reading here because nothing is definitive in this saga yet.

The story comes from Madrid. Manchester United, I have been told, have paid an advance figure (which varies depending who you ask) for Falcao. That would mean that they are willing to pay 60 million euros for him. All that money for one player? That is the part that I cannot comprehend.

If it is true that they have made an advance payment like they did with De Gea, it means that they will almost certainly get the player. Do Manchester United need another striker? It is becoming obvious by the day that they are selling Wayne Rooney, but will anybody buy? Madrid and Barcelona are not interested. Not many other options left, and they are all in England: Chelsea, City? So they will need to sell Rooney to follow up that payment with the rest of the huge fee.

To complicate matters, Real Madrid have set eyes on two players and the media will start the saga as soon as they get KOd from the Champions League (or win it): Gareth Bale and Kun Agüero. If Kun goes, then there is a space open for Rooney, but there are lots of bridges to cross before we get there.

So, the only certitude is that from the Spanish club the leak is that Manchester Unite have made a payment for Falcao. Are they trying to push for a deal, are they trying to warn other potential suitors (Chelsea and PSG, mainly. City are not looking to replace Agüero… if they convince him to stay)

We are at that stage of the season where, yes, annoying I know, but anything can happen still

So basically falcao could go to united, psg or chelsea
rooney could be sold to chelsea or city
aguero could go to real madrid

the more I read from this guy the more i'm convinced he knows nothing.

The guy is a complete fantasist. Rooney to City? Not a hope in hell!

Yes, he is just another pretended ITK. His information are often wrong. His asset is that he is a Spaniard who has a reasonable command of English, and can spread rumours which are circulated by the British tabloids. In fact I have a suspicion, he may have a close connection with the Rags and would be happy to start a rumour or leak something to help them.

Marca used to be treated as an organ of Real Madrid, but not anymore.

Guillem Balague reminds me of a certain Mr Hairdoo stars bullshit then goes awol.

To be honest id rather read his shite than get personal txts from balague hes all for spain he puts the prem 2nd best to a 2 horse race they call la liga! he thinks players only go to the prem if barce/madrid dont want em and shit like if we can convince aguero to stay? come on wind ya neck in pal!

Always makes me shake my head that comment.

It's a bit like Joe Hart fancying becoming a centre forward after his stunning overhead kick in training.

Atletico Madrid probably leaked the Falcao to rags rumor to try and force us/Chelsea/whoever else into panicking and offering them exactly what they want so we don't miss out.

They are only interested in getting the most money, I fully expect Falcao to Anzhi rumours soon or Falcao to Juventus as well.

Looks like all clubs whom are interested in Falcao are going to have to put down an advance for the chance of grabbing his services, the teams who Falcao rejects will have their advance refunded and obviously his buy clause looks non-negotiable.

On Falcao
Remember this?

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.independent.." onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.independent..</a>.

Sir Alex denying he was going to get De Gea. That is how it works.

In the world of tweeter (and football) subtle descriptions of negotiations are generally lost. People want black and white. "Is he going?", "Has he signed?". And we are at the stage where things are not that clear yet. Cue insults and so on

Things I have said and I stand by
There is a payment from Manchester United in regards to Falcao's transfer

Things I have never said

Falcao has signed for Manchester United

Some will get the difference. Most won't because they hear whatever they want to hear. Ah well

In transfers, there is the possibility of giving some money as a refundable deposit or down payment to guarantee bona fides (as explained by @EWHK70 in Twitter. Sorry mate, explaining a story people don't want to hear will mean in you being abused)

Falcao belongs in a big percentage to a third party, an investment fund. They are asking for guarantees from those that are interested in him (Chelsea being another one, PSG too, possibly others). Payments have been made. The one who pays the totality of the buy out clause (with the agreement of the player) will take him. The others will get a refund.

If people do not like the story, you will get abuse. That is how it works in this world. If the transfer eventually doesn't take place then I was wrong (when I never said it will)

Never mind. Talk soon about 13 hours ago
