At then end of the day United have money to spend, and they will go all out if needed.

They know us and Chelsea will spend to improve this Summer, strong rumours Arsenal will as well, so does anybody really think they will just stand still?

It would not shock me them selling Rooney and going on an 80-100m spend, as with most if not all English teams at the moment, we are far away from looking like winning the European Cup, a cup that Ferguson will look to retire on in my opinion.

Then he'll have to live beyond 100 because, let's face it, the English game is fast and furious but is lacking in technique and looks hopelessly outdated against the better European teams. Players like Falcao won't be going there for European honours, though he will no doubt be tempted by the money as compensation.

United need defenders and midfielders badly. Ferdinand,Evra and a not the same Vidic with Smalling Evans and Jones is not good enough. Ferdinand will be hard to replace and will cost them a few bob. The Midfield has Carrick,Giggs,Cleverley,Kagawa and that's pretty much it other than wingers. IMO they've bigger things to sort out than chase Falcao plus if they get rid of Rooney it'll be because of his silly wages and Falcao would demand the same.

Bayern have contacted Cavani's agent according to Gazzetta... more competition emerges for one of the 'big two' (Falcao, Cavani) it seems. I wouldn't be too upset if we ended up with Higuain but it would again say we can't get our Plan A targets assuming Cavani and Falcao are targets of ours (certainly Cavani seems to be).
