Just come off the phone to my pal who agve Rooney to Chelsea info. As far as he knows Rooney has demanded a million a month in wages and Chelsea offering less due to contracts for other players increasing on the back of it.

Chelsea will keep it on ice and will explore other options. Suarez and Lewandowski on the list but Rooney still main target.

I wonder what makes him think he deserves such wages? :O

Well that's what he's on at Manchester "our players play for the badge, not the money" United so it's no surprise he's not actively seeking a wage decrease should he move.

I wonder if Chelsea will re-sign Didier Drogba for a year or two? Still a not bad option to have.

Finished for Drogba. He left on a massive high too and earns a nice crust in Turkey (did you know it all goes to Charity? Not as big a **** as many make out).

Rooney has been teh heartbeat of United for years and has been flexible for them but his sacrifice has seen Ronaldo and RVP take the plaudits, imo he's the most rounded player in the prem regarding strikers. £30m for him is a good acquisition but only for the next 3 years imo. His wages make this move difficult, fuck knows how it will play out.

Keep tabs on Shaw, that's their target for LB replacement for Cole. Harsh on Bertrand really.

They've been on Shaw's case for the past 10 months now and were very close indeed in signing him in Jan.

With him now signing a 5 year contract with Southampton in July it'll certainly cost them for his services

Can't see Napoli taking Torres anyway, wages too high and better value for money strikers on the market, and more reliable.
