If we have pulled out of going for Cavani as reports suggest, what other striker do you think we will be going for cos I cant think of anyone else marque thats available?
Is Benzema available?
Maybe we'll just have to postpone our hunt for a top-five striker in the world for now? If second choices are as mediocre as last summer's t-window suggested, I'd rather see us take a pass.
Tevez I think is bound to leave, but if we bring in David Villa to replace him we'll still have a more than good enough attack to win trophies next season.
Instead strengthen other areas in the squad where needed, and then get a good pre-season together. Manuel is known for his ability to get the best out of the players and squad so I have no doubts we are set for a terrific season up ahead.
Attack: Aguero, Dzeko, Villa and Guidetti.
Attacking midfield: Isco, Navas, Nasri, Silva, Lopes, Suarez
Central midfield: Inferno, Yaya, Milner, Barry, Garcia, Razak
Full backs: Clichy, Zabaleta, Richards, Kolarov
Centre backs: Kompany, Nastasic, Lescott, Rekik
Maybe we could do with yet another striker, not knowing if Guidetti will be up for it this coming season.
I'd say we could do with another quality CB, a new LB (preferably Shaw) allowing for us to sell Kolarov.
Also I'm not sure the central midfield is complete as of yet. Pellegrini relies on hard working energetic ball winning mf's and I'm not sure Yaya is physically up for that.
But other than that, surely that's a good enough squad with a great manager to win us trophies of the finest calibre?
