The thing with Chelsea, their bids may essentially be on the whim of Abramohovic.
Just like with Hazard last season, and Torres before, he may just decide to pay what it takes to get their man.

That still does not value him €20m more than Suarez and €38m more than Lewandowksi.

It does when Lewy is heading into the last year of his contract and openly wants to leave. Same with Suarez minus the contract years bit.

These valuations aren't just based on ability.

Come on mate, would you really pay €63m for Cavani? €40-45m max is his valuation, €50 if we are really desperate.

It's too much of a gamble and a huge risk not just for the club but Txiki himself, if signing him fails he is in big trouble. Txiki has to be absolutley certain Cavani will pull off and I don't think he is, otherwise he would have been signed by now in my opinion.

He won't got for the buy out clause price though in my opinion. We've seen this sort of thing time and time again, and clubs always find a middle ground. I'm not sure Cavani is worth €63m but, he's definitely worth more than Suarez and Lewandowski. In my opinion all of the values you've mentioned for those players should be knocked down considerably.
