so the tancredi says chelsea for the second week in a row have bid €50m but his stuff wasn't or doesn't appear to be from the more reliable di marzio.

cavani's ma says her son is talking to madrid and us but adl is talking to chelsea and wayne veysey says madrid are preparing to blow us out of the water. so in summary no one knows what is going on.

Di Marzio has confirmed the Chelsea bid.

Where?

<a class="postlink" href="https://twitter.com/dimarzio" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">https://twitter.com/dimarzio</a>

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.gianlucadimarzio.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.gianlucadimarzio.com/</a>

And Tancredi didn't cite Sky Italia like he usually does.

Edit: Unless you mean the old Torres + cash offer rather than today's?

Confirmed the €50m offer from last Friday.

Cavani is a top player but im starting to think we should look else where for £53M unless we can involve Dzeko in the deal.

From Cavani's perspective what do we think will differentiate the three offers on the table?

Money wise he's gonna be paid a fortune wherever he goes

In terms of status, Madrid are clearly the biggest club globally, but is this important to the player?

Manager wise I would imagine Jose is a big attraction, however Pellegrini is well respected, as of yet we are still unsure who will be at Madrid.

He will be in the starting 11 of all three teams

It's all about the skill of the negotiator to convince him, lets pray the barce boys can pull it off
If Real Madrid put an offer in that is acceptable to Napoli, he will go there no question.

I don't think Chelsea are in for him. Maybe Napoli would like them to be, but it doesn't sound like they have made a firm bid, and from Mourinho's press conference it didn't sound like they were going to go mad in the transfer mkt. They have done a deal for Schurrle, and seeing as they spent so much last season, there must be a limit to their spending?

They're confirmed by DiMarzio to have made at least 2 bids for him in the last week. Whether or not they get him is debatable, but they're definitely in for him.

You do make a good point, but didn't he say they may strengthen the team with a few signings?

I have to agree. I would want stonewall guarantees to be paying that amount of money. Does anybody have a stat of how many goals he scored discounting penalties? I mean look at Balo absolutely tearing it up in Italy, and he couldn't even get a sniff here. Im in no way saying that this will be the case, but there is a small possibility, and £53M is one hell of a risk to bank on.

Glad im not the only one who thinks that.
Bit in bold - i knows hes a world class player but i still have that niggling feeling that he may not adapt in england / do the business. Dont know why.

I saw the press conference, and he said they'd make a few signings but that "hard work" is what will really improve their squad in the long run. I think he's trying to do away with the reputation he's gotten that he just buys buys buys when he wants to win. But they'll be in for a marquee striker almost certainly. Whether it'll be Cavani, idk as Abramovich looks unwilling to fork out the full fee.

I think Napoli are trying to use Chelsea to put pressure on City. I'm not sure how genuine Chelsea's interest really us.
