No way we pay over the odds for Fernandinho but dont pay fair price for Cavani which is a lot (50m+) but still fair given e easily could be a top scorer a few times in a row for us with te creative players behind him we have.

I mean letting RVP to United, Hazard to Chelsea and now Cavani to Chelsea, I mean what is next?
Kompany to Chelsea as well lol...

It makes you wonder if Begiristain has learned so much when he signed Ibrahimovich for Barcelona. As fans we want him to pay the money, however he has a better insight in whether he will be the right fit for City and if it is very good value for the player.

To be honest with any other player I'd agree. But we've followed for two years arguably the best striker in the world. The release clause had been really public knowledge yet we continued. So surely we'd anticipate we'd have competition for his signature and that we won't be able to bargain him down.

We've signed good players, in the right positions so far but we were largely unopposed. This deal really is the greatest indicator of txiki.

Do we really need to spend that kind of money on Cavani? Accepted if we got him we'd be favourites for the PL and to reach at least the semi's of the CL but it wouldn't be the end of the world if we didn't. We already have 2 strikers in Aguero and Dzeko who could easily score 25+ league goals a season. If Tevez went and we replaced him with Gomes we'd have a top class finisher who along with Guidetti would give us a very strong strike force.

would much rather get both Isco and Thiago and a lesser striker (if Dzeko and Tevez both go) or another winger than Cavani.

the types of chances our creatives and even deeper lying mids will be offering now, any half decent striker will bag 30. we're going to rip the league apart and make CL semis with or without cavani
