Working for months and not putting in the highest bid... what would you expect?

A player isnt obligated to go to your team because you spent months trying to get him. You have to impress De laurentiis first of all. And clearly, he isnt impressed by ANY team's offer at the moment or he would have sold already.

Where he wants to go, who knows... according to pops, it's madrid

It's a shitty part of the beast... watching players you want, disappear. Heartbreak is part of the game. Ive suffered it many a time over the last years with my team

The only new Cavani/Chelsea story I can find says £34million + Torres but that Torres' wages (quite a lot higher than Dzeko's) would seem to make it near impossible. Is there another story out there?

I have actually gotten over Cavani now...

We were like this with Hazard as well... we are all hyper and confident he is signing and when he teased everyone on twitter it was annoying, but when he eventually signed for Chelsea and "snubbed" us, we thought, Chelsea are going to have a strong team and kill us next season if we don't strengthen...

They finished below us with some pretty big signing and what did we do... our strikers had a poor run and we took 2 steps back and still managed to beat them every game including friendlies for the past year...

Moral of the story, if Cavani wants Real Madrid then so be it... we will still become as big as Real and Barca because of Pellegrini, the plan we have, the way we want to play and the fact we will still have some top signings coming in place of Cavani and others... also, we have to start behaving like Soriano said... we need players who want to play for city and be part of the family... not choose us as a plan b like Cavani if it is so...

That's great advice. The problem is that I believe Cavani is the signing that takes us from title contenders to title favourites next season, not to mention the fact that he's ready made for the Champions League. I don't see another striker out there that would have the same impact, so I'm going to have to decline your suggestion to stop flapping ;).

I really do not think Torres will go to Serie A... he has said it himself, he has a few years to go, is a fave of the Ruski Abromo and Torres looks to be getting some of his old class play back and with him being in the PL here so long at Liverpool and Chelsea it will take a lot for him to uproot and head over just for Benitez...

Educated and realistic guess says Torres will not be included in any deal...

Oh how terrible for you.

Wheras we only came into existence 3 years ago & have never experienced disappointment before.

Losing at home to Stockport fucking County & playing Macclesfield as a local derby was just a bad dream, it never happened.

Thanks for the lecture in coping with disappointment.
