Jebus! That first video in particular is frightening.
Well fuck me sideways, just pay the release clause and get him signed up, we saw last season when they signed van pussy.

We would eat them alive with cavani

Re: Cavani Speculation/News

I'd be surprised (and delighted) if Cavani or any other striker chose City over Chelsea. Chelsea are only a striker away from being a real challenger again. Where better to go if you are a top striker. Money, London and Ambition.

My hope though is that we've got in early enough with the agent to set all the groundwork so that we can get the deal done immediately once Pelligrini's in place.

The more I think of it, it's a long shot for us to get Cavani.

bollocks mate. chelsea are the most over rated team on the planet.

money - we got tons of it
ambition - again we have tons of it
London - fucking shit. manchesters well better and cheeper.

i hope cavani shares my views.. :)

Re: Cavani Speculation/News

Im sorry but what are we away from being a real challenger again. You think city dont have money and ambition, and manchester can offer everything london can there is only people in london who think london is the best place in the world.

City have everything that chelsea does apart from a lunatic owner and a core of english morons who run the club basically in terry, lampard and cole

Aguero would play to compliment Cavani, Silva on the left, Aguero the right and Cavani centre.

Dzeko knows he's third choice and has two options to go.

Torres has stated clearly he wants to stay, Roman also wants to 'succeed' in his purchase. Chelsea need a better defence and defensive midfield instead of attack imo. Maybe a Wiseman on the right too.

As for Jose v Pellegrini I agree, only thing is at Chelsea consistency isn't there with managers. I also think next season with an easier group we will do well in Europe. The keys are there and the lock can be picked with a more tactically adept manager like Pellegrini. Once passed the groups we can beat anyone on the day. We've beaten Chelsea all season and they boast a draw as their best result.

I maybe a mile off the mark, but I think Dezko will stay and that the interest in Cavani if just talk - possibly from the Napoli end to ensure that if they do sell him, they get the full release clause value.
As far off as your opinion that Garcia will be a key player for us. Cavani is our main target.
OK. Appreciate your comments

I think Aguero would be wasted if he's used as a 2nd striker. He'd be my main man, with a Tevez like player in behind. But not Tevez. I think he's too slow now, and doesn't have enough goals in him

I'd use Garcia as a central defender or deep lying midfielder when Yaya was not available

Garcia can't make play, he's only good at interceptions and set piece. Slow as treacle and moves like he's had a stroke.

Fernandinho will be the man for us. Barry as cover I'd say although I like both with Yaya advanced in front. Rodwell to play there also.

I have Fernandinho, Barry, Milner and Rodwell all infront if Garcia.

Tevez has been our best striker and top scorer. If he's not scoring he's setting them up. Not bad for a second striker.

Aguero won't be wasted either, he will perform better. Wait and see!

No width and the fullbacks are not attacking. I know Pellegrini usually likes fullbacks to provide the width but whilst Zab has improved going forward, him & Clichy are not attack minded enough to provide our only width. I would imagine if we got everyone we are being linked with it would look something like below, with the 3 in front of Yaya/ fernandinho having license to interchange and obviously I have named 12 players but there has to be some squad rotation.

------------------------------------- Hart

Zabaleta ----------------- Kompany ----- Nastasic---------------- Clichy

------------------ Fernandinho ------------------- Yaya

Navas/ Silva --------------------------------------------------Isco/ Silva

--------------------------------- Aguero/ Isco

------------------------------------- Cavani

Re: Cavani Speculation/News

I'd like Cavani at City at much as the next guy - Unless we already have an agreement (I doubt it) it may come down to money as Napoli are playing a clever game designed to get the maximum out of the sale..... and while we're faffing about 'setting up the deal' Chelsea may come in and stump up a ridiculous amount of money and walk away with his signature before you can blink (sound familiar ... Hazard!).

I'm not sure what Chelsea being one player away from being challengers - Mata is class, Hazard is a match winner on his day, would only take those two for the Man City team :-)
