I trust Pellegrini to...

  • Assess whether he can get the best out of Dzeko. Mancini didn't play to Dzeko's strengths; Pellegrini will
  • Assess whether there is a role for Tevez. If so, then he gets a contract extension (on reduced terms). If not, then look for another stiker.
  • If there is a spare striker spot, assess whether Cavani is worth it at the available price. I doubt that Pellegrini would regard Cavani as the best value, or most suitable for his style of play.
Why do you think we Pellegrini will change the team to suit Dzeko?
Just because we bought Navas?
Silva and Nasri, hopefully Isco wont suddenly become wingers to service Dzeko. They will play the same way, intricate passing and quick movement which Dzeko struggles with.
I will be surprised if the team doesn't start with Aguero upfront and Silva and Nasri in behind.

I think Tevez is off and a move for Jovetic would be good, can play different positions, direct, quick, skilful and scores goals and creates.

cuz dzeko will thrive on width.. its already looking like dzeko will be the target man and kun in the hole..
But we have one winger!
Silva and Nasri are not wingers, they struggle when they play there so what's the point. I don't see us buying another and dropping them two so no I don't think Dzeko will be the target man at all. I think the club actively looking to sell and replace him tells you he isn't really wanted either.

Aguero is the main man. End of.
Team is built around him and we will succeed.

difference is i don't under rate him john and playing sht in 2 confed cups hasn't changed my mind that cavani is a class player that we need but its an idea that it isnt just fantasy to believe he would under perform for certain reasons.

What would you think if a City player did that to get a move away from us?

doesn't really matter what i think does it but do you believe its not possible?

Id say its highly unlikely a player would let down his nation in order to lower something that ultimately is outside of his control anyway. His transfer value is unlikely to be effected in anyway by the Confeds cup.

Well as discussed on the Balotelli thread yesterday quite a few on here would think that was ok and not cuntish in the slightest.

England players have been doing it for years :)

I think like his villareal days..pellegrini willprefer to have a tall target man upfront with kun as supporting striker with license to roam around and create chances..

He might be tall but Dzeko is not a target man, no real physical presence, not great at ball retention and wins very few headers.

Plus always on his arse and rarely in the box!!

Are we still going in for Martinez ? He has all the attributes of Cavani at half the price, albeit he is unproven at the top level but I think its a gamble worth taking.
