Shit! This will go on for a month and a half more then??

The buyout clause expiring isnt a benefit for you, or any other team - in fact, it makes it more difficult, as ADL will have to option to say no to ANY deal.

Is dzeko the problem in this deal then? If we're looking for another striker anyway just add the money from the tevez sale as a one off deal.........£50m cash and 24 hours to decide!

You're like my wife - good at spending other peoples money! £50m - for Cavani is madness and we'd regret it for years to come. I'd like him but £40m is the max of his value I'm afraid.

Odd to think that the difference between a an understandable buy and something we'd regret for years to come is only about the price of Kolarov and Sinclair.

If the buy out clause is ridiculous then the chairman is essentially saying no to ANY reasonable deal anyway. The man like most men in Italian football it seems is a egotistical fool.

I hope City refuse to deal with the Italian clubs unless they are happy to trade as equals. We don't need to beg for acceptance any more.

Agree with you on this one. City will not be bent over backwards by Napoli.

With the news coming from Di Marzio tonight that Southampton have bid for Damiao and Cardiff for Cardozo, the whole standard of the league seems like it could be going up one notch. But the level of players still out of the reach of clubs like those are the likes of Cavani. So if we bypass Cavani and accept someone like Osvaldo or Cardozo, we're buying a good player but arguably not one any better than mid-table clubs are buying. (Of course we still have one better than all of them - Aguero - but have to pray he doesn't get injured and finds top form)
