City vs. Spurs has just sold out weeks in advance.
Not much change to Dipper ticket sales by the look of it, I think we'll get at least 40,000 for it though. What allocation do the Dippers have again?
The FA Cup game has only just gone on open sale today due to the dispute with Utd. I think we have more than 36k season-ticket holders now. City did not say how many we sold, but they did say we had broken the previous record which was 36k. May have to wait for the annual report to find out.fathellensbellend said:strange the apathy for the semi final, and even to an extent the utd game, i know money is tight but 2 monster games and the tickets are not exactly flying off the shelves, overpriced for sure, but certainly games that people dreamt of for the last 30 years or so.
also i guess lots of season ticket holders have ducked out again of cup games, considering city have 36k season ticket holders and approximately 40/41k available for each of the games an amazing amount of tickets still left.
fathellensbellend said:the semi final certainly begs a few questions, the daft pricing as obviously alienated many fans, which is a great shame not only for those missing the game, but also those in attendance, it won't make for much of a spectacle with 15000 empty seats.
but also it highlights the lack of supporters waiting in the wings to jump into the available seats, basically it's by and large the same fan base dipping in to their pockets, and ultimately liverpool on bbc for the league cup is seen as too expensive, so not only city but liverpool should be somewhat ashamed that making maximum profit comes before actually filling the stadiums.
but having said that our group will make the 300 mile round trip as per usual, and i can say as a matter of fact none of us are big earners, but the chance to see city in a semi final is surely something to relish
