Very much doubt many people are going to be signing up to the Carling Cup scheme next season.

neither I nor the wife will be after this

I'd at least thought they'd have given Cup Scheme Members a discount of say £5 a ticket?

How long before we copy the rags and this is compulsory.

Like a few others here I wish our club would make a stand on ticket prices.

I have no kids so I can afford £40 however I understand why people can't, for some reason a few people here seem to have accepted that this sort of price is acceptable.

IMO football matches should be around the £10-15 mark

NOW I KNOW WHY its called bluemoan... STOP CRYING ABOUT PRICES, DONT GO

IMHO new Mercs should be £500!

Seriously we have been very lucky as Manchester City fans to have had some amazingly low ticket prices for many games over the last few years, but unfortunately £10-£15 is not even half the market price of an average top flight game, never mind a semi-final.

I suppose it's all about priorities, my mate spent a couple of hundred quid on Christmas booze, and now is crying that he can't afford to get a ticket for him and his lad for the Liverpool game, I think that there just aren't enough fans out there who are prepared to make a sacrifice to watch the Blues (and yes I know there are fans out there on the breadline etc... and I am not including you) but I'm sure many of the 36k season card holders who aren't going to the semi or the Derby obviously are not prepared to make a small sacrifice. I would rather miss a night out, and save the money for City, but I don't see many fans feeling the same way nowadays

Slight rant that might not make sence (as just come in from a 14 hr shift), Yes i must admit it is slightly expensive for the Liverpool game but i have still got a ticket (on the c/c scheme) but will the same said people complaining about the prices & not going to the game, then start complaining if/when we get to the final that they cant get a ticket.
I am a blue through & through & will follow my team as much as i can.

Its MANCHESTER CITY in a SEMI-FINALF.F.S., LETS GET THE GROUND FULL & GIVE OUR BOYS IN BLUE THE SUPPORT THEY NEED.

.........................THE BLUE MOON IS RISING..............................

£75 for 2 games = not worth it, regardless of the opposition of whether its a semi final or not.
If you pay these prices theclub will think its acceptable to price ordinary fans out of the game and have empty seats at most cup games.
I'll save my money for the carling cup final.

£450 season ticket plus £300 for Cups is affordable for most working people and what most City fans work for.

What was the point in shelling out for the season tickets and Cups for all those years if you stop with your team on the verge of another trip to Wembley. Precious days

This might sound really "I am alright Jack" but it is my opinion.

People go on about being skint and being on the bread line. This I completely understand and have the upper most sympathy for people in this position. However I am not having that all blues are that skint they do not want to watch us in another semi final because tickets are £40 or the rags at home in the cup because they couldn't be arsed joining the cup scheme. This is your own fault and the club promised £15 tickets up to and including the quarters or semis(I cant remember) so I joined all 3. The fact that we drew united is irrelevent and the moaning bastards who keep complaining and the ones using that as an excuse for ticket prices. Would you be saying the same if we had drawn Wigan at home? The fact that it is united means that demand will be higher and city will increase the prices.

How many of those these so called fans are willing to sacrifice a a few packets of fags,a night out with the lads,a few bottles of booze or perhaps work an extra shift so they can afford to watch city? Not many

Luckily I don't smoke or and booze very rarely and I have a fairly well paid job and quite understanding misses. I have 2 kids but I still make sacrifices so I can attend city. My wife knows I would NEVER let my season ticket go whatever the club were to charge. Call me a mug or the type of fan that city loves,I don't care because I love my team I am willing to do whatever to support them and watch them week in week out.

As city fans we have had very little success over the past 35yrs and now fans are moaning at the fact they have to pay a little bit more. It fucking baffles me it really does. If you don't like it,don't go,but please do not slate the club for there ticketing prices as we have had many a game with £5,£10 ticket prices that many blues still couldn't be fucking bothered turning up to.

You decide-a few packets of fags-Or an FA cup/league cup semi ticket.

Moan moan moan-Fuck sake! Make a sacrifice for once in your life!

So many marketing experts on here about fair pricing etc. Get a grip.

Well done city-£55 for the semi and 3rd round of the cup..Cannot fucking wait.

rant over...............

Supporting a club that is competing for trophies is an expensive hobby. I go to all our home games so it makes sense to join the cup schemes as I always have been in them when available. I bet people at City can't believe the amount of moaning as City has been at the forefront of cheap tickets and they have been great over the years, no pleasing some though !

I don't know what all the fuss is about the Liverpool game not selling quickly. This is a difficult time of year, a lot of people are skint after christmas, with the new year celebrations still to pay for. People are probably holding on to their cash for as long as possible. I would expect that there will be many who still intend to go to this game, but are just waiting until the new year and perhaps their first pay packet of 2012.
