"Cedric" Boyata

To be honest, I think Vinnie just makes whoever he plays with look pretty good.
Exactly, because he's such a dominant centreback. Every ball in the air is his, etc.

He needs a partner equally dominant as he.

Considering he has been frozen out of the team for 2 years since his red card at arsenal , I thought he did well tonight. Calm on the ball with good distribution , he can be a major part of the city side for many years if he is given the time to improve .

I thought he was sent off against Arsenal in the home fixture?

Not gonna cut it for me. We need another centre half

Undoubtedly, but I reckon with such a purchase,we'd have enough cover to sell both Lescott and Garcia.

Kompany
Pepe
Nasty
Boyata/Richards/Rodwell/Yaya.

Absolutely not.

Kompany however is quite possibly number 1 in the World in his position. If he gets injured and we don't sign a centre half we won't win anything. Sign a Lacey centre half and anything is possible.

It is funny to me that whenever we talk about the "modern" Man City, we seem to complain how NO-ONE is coming through the ranks, yet Boyata makes his first real appearance in years against the Euro Champions, does not look AT ALL out of place, but is derided as "not good enough!"

All the while, a team like Barca puts in a sneaky bid for Denis Suarez because he is not getting the chance, even though people see him as the cream of the crop coming through!!

Seems to me, SOME PEOPLE want City to pay £30M for the finished article two or three times per year and we should turn the still-being-built Academy Complex into "Etihad Vegas" to make the money to fund it and meet FFP!!!

SHEESH!! Give the lad a chance to stake a claim....he just played a good game against the European Champs FFS and looked as good as anyone else that has played CB this season, other than the regular starters!!
