"Cedric" Boyata

Cedric - certainly has a ring to it! Was that a Stubbs special?

It was Ian Darke during commentary.

-- 02 Aug 2013, 00:27 --

Considering he has been frozen out of the team for 2 years since his red card at arsenal , I thought he did well tonight. Calm on the ball with good distribution , he can be a major part of the city side for many years if he is given the time to improve .

I thought he was sent off against Arsenal in the home fixture?

He was.

Boyata have decent game last night. he's much better than Lescott and Garcia. i've got the feeling that he will be partner with Kompany against Bayern. i'd like to see him play more often this year. it's nice to see some academy graduates play in the first team. player like Boyata, Suarez and Lopes need chance & patience.

but one more leader and experience CB is needed in Pepe or Adil Rami. we already have good young CB in Nastasic and Boyata (also Rekik on loan).

Re: "Cedric" Boyata

His best game for a long time. At fault for the second but I think everyone had tired a bit by then and he's not had much football tbf. We need to calm down though, he's not the answer. We need an experienced defender.

I like him had a bit of a nervy start but when I've seen him before he looks composed for a defender his age. Deserves a second chance here under Pelle he'd be ideal for backup and cup games. If not sell on with a buy back clause.

Sorry don't agree, was at fault for 2nd goal.

I must agree without wanting to dish a young player, I thought he was average at the very best.

The only way he will prevent mistakes is by game time. That is something he hesn't really had at the top level in recent seasons.
