Celtic Thread - 2021/22

That rubbish can be swept away. Where the damage to physical property? Where’s the fighting? Where’s the attacks with bottles? I will wait.

We’ll see after Wednesday how chirpy Thornlie is when the rangers fans no doubt disgrace themselves as usual
Like I said, the only football violence associated with Glasgow is Celtic fans beating each other up in drunken brawls after every Old Firm game. The last one at Parkhead, they were even attacking each other at the Forge shopping centre before the game.

See my post in the Rangers thread. Can add these to it.

See, the thing is we know we have a problem, and it is a big problem. My point is we have the same problem as Celtic have, young neds, drink, drugs, ruining it for everyone. You could take their hoops off, but blue tops on & it would look the same.

These guys are brought up in the same schemes, drink in the same type of pubs & bars, take the same drugs. Why do we expect them to be different because 1 had a green & white shirt on & 1 has a blue shirt on?

The problem I have is the double standards, the big bad Rangers rhetorical compared to the jolly craicsters out for a good time.

Thornlie doesn’t acknowledge any problem among their fans is the thing.

He can argue that point, its certainly not mine. We have a problem, a big problem, & the drugs the young team are taking aren't helping, but go on to Kerrydale Street, they are saying the same things among their young guys.

My problem has always just been the double standards of viewpoints & reporting. Not just Celtic fans.

Im a proud Scot, but what's the difference between Rangers fans singing Anti Irish songs, or Scots singing Anti English songs actually in London? What's the difference between F the Pope & the Scotland support having F the Queen banners? What's worst, scuffles breaking out between drunk Rangers fans, or scuffles breaking out between drunk Scottish & England fans? The clean up of George Square, or the clean up of Leicester Square?

All are wrong, all shouldn't be happening, but who gets the worst press last summer?

You have about 15 riots under your belt mate. Celtic fans have been murdered by your lot. You either suffer from amnesia or you’re a liar. Take your pick. Two Euro finals, two riots add in Newcastle, Sunderland, Wolves, Villa, and many more. Your own Chairman had had to plead you don’t go mad in Seville. Selective retention can be cured. Seek help.

it’s all because you have been put back in your box, isn’t it? Your dreams of years of dominance lie in tatters. And there is more to come.

Fake news. It’s actually the cost of renovation required going back decades. Not like the media to twist things, eh ? They would never make things up, would they ?
In this day an age of technology where there are numerous videos of our fans in the Square, there are a few that show some drunks squaring up to each other, but absolutely none whatsoever of any damage caused.
However plenty of videos and photos of Celtic fans brawling with each other at Glasgow Cross last night.

Not true. We have bams just like everybody else and the sooner we stop shouting about the Pope and Bobby Sands, the better.
But you won’t hear any apologies from that other mob on anything. Ashamed of nothing. I won’t be taking any lectures on morality from any Celtic fan ever.
