I did a comedy gig a few years ago in a place called Largs, West coast of Scotland. Two lads at the front asked me more than once "are you blue or green". Initially I ignored it but once the audience were aware of it being asked more than once I had to address it.

I said " look lads, I come from England where we don't really give a shit about religion. It's a shame that a country that gives us top physicians and inventors, is still dominated by neanderthal sectarian bollocks".

I got a round of applause from the rest of the audience and continued. Afterwards a fella came up to me and said you dealt very well with the 2 Neds, and you're right about the backwardness of sectarianism. He introduced himself as Ian Durrant and said he was in Largs doing his coaching badges.

Council house to live in and raise a family - they are happy with that!

Their children receiving good education in a school provided - no problems here

Receiving benefits (if needed) to help feed their family - happy to take that

I think it is Mob mentality….but for the Pro-IRA balaclava wearing “i hate everything blue, white & red” bigot, It’s time to have a hard look into the mirror and come to terms that if you don’t like where you live - you have the absolute right to spend the rest of your life elsewhere, nobody is forcing you to stay in the place you hate so much!

This is not targeted at all Celtic fans obviously

Last time we played them at ours some middle aged bellend with his son ffs sat in our block giving it large to everyone when they scored. Offered several old fellas out who verbalised their opposition to his utterings. DId it eventually to a younger bloke who knocked him on his arse. The stewards then helped him out with his young son training behind him crying his eyes out. What a cock! If that's symptomatic of the rest of their fan base its no wonder the rest of Scotland fucking despise them.
If i was a multi-billionaire id happily charter flights for all their fans to go to EIre if they like it that much and fucking stay there, they're a fucking embarrassment to the UK.

Every Celtic fan I ever spoke to say Rangers are Scotland's shame. They make it difficult to agree with half the time. Both are as bad as each other with this archaic bullshite they drag up

I think the FA have a secret agreement never to let either team enter the English league for such and such reasons

1) Neither can be trusted to behave themselves up and down the country on away games
2) They have potential to dominate with their fanbases and attract some investment which the old cronies at the FA don't want.
3) They'll never be able to let the Catholic and protestant thing go

You've leapt to the defence of an old pervert who's had sex with a 17 year old victim of human trafficking, classified as a child in the country which it took place, then compared it to something which has absolutely no relevance to the conversation about buggering young boys. Did that really need explaining?

Anyway, that's the last I'll say on this. It's evident from a few posters that bigotry is alive and well elsewhere than the west of Scotland.
 
Indeed. I’m probably the most anti-religion person on the forum so enjoy sticking the boot into any and all religions when I get the chance.

It has indeed. We have witnessed the vast majority of Scotland and it’s population pay respect to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, whilst a tiny small minded minority, based on their politics and anti English stance have made fucking arses of themselves.

Those doing it in here can go fuck themselves.

They’ve all moved in on here to have a go! Always been an element of it at City, UVF flags at Maine Road, the Rangers love in, plenty of anti Irish stuff was heard by me back in the day.

Nothing more pathetic than some of the Irish pandering to them on here too, pathetic.
