Most City fans expected a very intense game. And that's what we got. Celtic got a lot of breaks but didn't have the quality to go on and win against a City team who had a few players collectively playing below their best.

Missed Kompany, Stones, KDB and Sagna tonight partly through injury, partly because of the Spurs game (they rested players at CSKA Moscow)
 
I think we should congratulate Celtic for a spirited performance, we should be happy we fought back to equalise, and go on to look stronger in last 15 minutes. In my opinion, we would have lost that kind of game last season. Could do with a bit more steel in middle of field on away games like this. Let's hope for three points on Sunday. ;-)

He has been excellent on a number of occasions imo. But that's the difference between the best & the 2nd or 3rd level players.

The best keep producing it. If Otamendi has 10 top games from now on, then he puts down a case for the last few games being a blip.
 
Taste of our own medicine was due sooner or later and I was curious how we would deal with it.
Now pep and the team will be well prepared next time we face similar opponent .Fantastic rehearsal for the spuds game.
Fernandinho was hung dry and Rogers plan worked .At time he was against 4 -5 players .
Credit to celtic but 3 lucky goals saved them.Old Cliche, team who works hard gets lucky.
 
Some of you need to take a look at yourselves. When we win and the media focus On the Rags or other teams saying that it was because the opposition were poor, we all complain about City not getting credit for playing well... Well some of you have turned into those very pundits you despise. Celtic played great and nullified us, simple as. Accept it. I'd have taken a point up there any day.

Good response Ghirl.........Kolo was magnificent all match - Sinclair had a good first half. Very enjoyable game all round.
 
Celtic have lost 3 champions league group stage games at Celtic Park in 26.

2 of them were against Barcelona and one against AC Milan.

Let that sink in.

Hard fought point, could have played better but let's not be too harsh.

Came back from a goal down THREE TIMES
Their first was offside
We were better
Bravo was fantastic

Will need to be better against Tottenham, that's a bigger game than this though and it will be harder.

What's the use of introducing attackers if you can't bring the ball to them. We were all over the shop last half an hour, couldn't organize attack to save our lives and were widely open. He brought Stones and Fernando to close and stabilize us and give attack some chance to score and win. But it just wasn't our night, we couldn't put any pressure on them and Zab broke like 100 of our attacks in 2nd half.

Yeah i think the shuffle around did not make the best of our attack we had on the pitch. We didn't lose and the way they broke their balls etc i'll take that draw.
 
There 1st goal was ofside and shouldn't of even been a free kick Celtic player just hit the ball at otmendi chest all the crowd shouted handball and the referee who forgot his cards obliged. 2nd goal to be fair was pretty good all be it was deflected 3rd was a shocking mistake by Kolorav and the lad finished it of brilliantly. Sterling was world class the rest weren't on it tonight. Celtic just deserved there point for there work rate hunger and cup final approach. Celtic be lucky to get another point in the group though, they seem to think gladbach be an easy 6 points they will best them by 2 clear goals.

Nullified us?

Absolute bollocks .

We were the makers of our own downfall and were simply wasteful in front of goal .

Them pressing us in our own half isn't being nullified - they did fuck all with the ball nine times out of ten when then won possession .

It's a poor team playing well against a far better team in a one off scenario .

Have a look how they have played in pre season and the SPL this season for proof of it.

We used to raise our games in derbies - only for us to finish mid table and them win the league at a canter - the rag twats.

Indeed, England could do lot worse than Rodgers. he's got bit inflated view of himself but he's not bad manager.
 
anyway, this result could cause us some problems. We might very well be third after 4 games and that would put us under some pressure. This was really a must win game with two next vs Barca.
