Because Muslims are from pakistan and Muslims use mosque's thats why i brought pakistan into it

Muslims are from Britain aswell. You're saying that because Pakistan wouldn't allow a Church to be built, let alone on an old Mosque, we should not allow a Mosque to be built over an old Church, right?

I'd prefer if the Mosque wasn't being built, as I said a car park would be more helpful, but we don't lie in my ideal world, big deal...

You would rather have a car park built than a mosque??

Car parks are a shrine to conseumerism. They are the most god awful thing on this planet.

Maybe that is why you love them?

I've checked this story. It appears that planning permission was given for a small car park on some ground by the church but there was no plan or permission given to demolish any gravestones. However, there was some doubt subsequently over whether a paved area could have been a graveyard or just a paved area made up from old gravestones. So the Ministry of Justice is investigating and work has been halted.

So the truth is that no graves have been knowingly demolished (the main graveyard is on the other side of the church and is untouched) and it's a car park not a mosque. So the clip is a gross and untrue provocation.

I'm being burned to a cinder and put in a bleeding tupperwear. I'm not going to rot away in a box that costs as much as a car. Why waste the money when I'd rather my kids/family use it for something actually usefull. It's not like I need a comfy casket.

Cemetery's and graveyards get churned up all the time and no one gives a shite. I can think of 4 off the top of my head within a couple of miles of each other.
There used to be a graveyard on Hill street in Heywood, it's now a carpark. Church on Benfield street is now a house. St Lukes in Heywood centre has had all the graves removed and been landscaped. St Jimmy's on Tower street went one further and used all the old gravestones as a new path.

I could go on but I can't be arsed. I suspect the reason most people are getting upset is because what is being built in it's place.

I agree with Stony . This story has been popping up all over the place for quite a few months .
When the diocese sold the building and land , why didn't they put in place allowances for the removal of the graves in a 'right' and 'respectful' manner ?
Or ensure that the 'new' owners do ?
Maybe they 'couldn't care' ?

As I have said already, at least carparks are helpful. My priority is for the living not the dead. A car park can help increase the standard of living for the living. The dead are dead. As Hombre said, it's just selfish to take up land especially when you can get an Urn. The important thing are your memories anyway.

Now why am I not surprised, I wonder?
