Wouldn't mind us having a gander at Lyon's Maxime Gonalons.

24yr old 6'2 DCM whom the Guardian reckons would be available for about 12-14mil due to Lyon's cash problems, their description of him is "deep-lying midfielder able to build as well as break up".

Being chased by Napoli.

He's def one to cherry pick because him and Gomis are the ones most likely to leave.

Though we haven't been linked with him just gonna throw the name out there but Fredy Guarin wouldn't be a bad purchase at all and he isn't cup tied. Also would give us an oppurtunity to p*ss of the Rags and Cheslea. TBH though, I realy would rather Vidal/Pogba or if most likely they aren't available Fernando/Matic would be great as i'd prefer someone a bit more defensively adept.

Hasn't looked great since he left Porto. Or when he was there tbf. would make a decent back up to huws in the eds squad if he was the right age. which he's not.

Just thought and posted in the Garcia thread ... won't the 25 man squad size and minimum number of Homegrown/Domestic players mean that if we are to buy any non-English player then a non-English player needs to be sold?

We have 16 "foreign" senior players (4 forwards, 6 midfielders, 5 defenders and 1 goalkeeper)

What are the rules again? Isn't that pretty much the max. Therefore to get the midfield general that we need then we need to sell a foreign player. (Garcia must be obvious choice).

And if we want a Center Back too then a harder choice needs to be made (personally I'd sacrifice Dzeko as I think we have enough attacking fliar without him).
