Throw kolarov into the mix and you'd need to cancel any plans you have for the evening

Otamendi and Stones are already that. Stones the Classy, and Otamendi the animal.

People just don't like the ones we have coz they see them weekly and judge them on every half error.

Could they be better? Sure. Are they good? Absolutely. Do we need another CB? Yes. But that's more because Kompany is often crocked and failing to create that competitive environment that normally skyrockets every one's performance.

This. I'm surprised otamendi gets some stick. He has a good game but makes the odd mistake like everyone else. We need full backs imo.

Dante had his best seasons in 11/12 for Gladbach and 12/13 for Bayern when he was really great and relieable. With a lower backline... After the ConfedCup - maybe due to missing form, too - he started to play like a brazilian defender... ;)

Boateng until the midst of season 12/13 with Heynckes often was a mistake to happen. He was a good defender - but lacked concentration and his buildup skills could be better. First Heynckes who set him onto the bench for awhile after a red card in the last CL group match - after that for the rest of the season he really started to get strong - and later on Pep totally improved him.

Dante was better in headers - and yes, he probably was the better "animal".

If he cant agree a contract extension here then other clubs,of which Everton are apparently one,are an option for him.
