Laporte it is then. 2nd time lucky.
If the story about Lucas Hernandez if true I cant see us signing Laporte. They are both young left foot CB. I think we going after someone with more experience. Boateng for me!Laporte it is then. 2nd time lucky.
We aren't being judged on 31 st Fifa are.
Hernandez has the ability to be an excellent playerIf the story about Lucas Hernandez if true I cant see us signing Laporte. They are both young left foot CB. I think we going after someone with more experience. Boateng for me!
AtM's transfer ban. They can't afford to lose players now and asked them to wait, Griezmann decided to stay for the same reason.Remind me why we can't move for Hernandez this season?
I'd hope that is the idea every seasonPossibly but I think the idea is to go balls deep this season and win silverware.
If it's a kind of 'double deal' (as real exchanges never happen), guess it's for Bertrand, not VVD.If Southampton now want Kelechi is it possible we are back in for VVD? Would explain why it's supposedly a complicated deal if it's a part exchange.
That's just what they want you to think to keep the deal for VVD "shrouded in secrecy". ;)If it's a kind of 'double deal' (as real exchanges never happen), guess it's for Bertrand, not VVD.
Agreed in totality with this :)IF we don't trust the Ability or fitness of one of ( Kompany, Otamendi or Stones ) then we should sell them.
Stones should step up next season and justify his +45 Million price tag and book the first spot in City's defence.
Otamendi is already consistent for me and I trust him.
Kompany should take care of his body.
Kolarov is very good as our 4th choice CB. ( I don't think Pep praised any CB last season as he praised Kolarov)
so your happy with city going with the same as last year , no left sided centre back? just a small right sided centre back who gets put there because the others cannot play there , and a left back who can play well there just not for 90 minutes.IF we don't trust the Ability or fitness of one of ( Kompany, Otamendi or Stones ) then we should sell them.

the MEN has city paying 185 million in 10 tears on the centre backs and your quite right watching city it is very obvious that it was the left back position that let us down the most last season but so did the goalie , now fixed, and the left sided centre back. We do not have anybody who can play that spot to a decent standard, Pep tried last year and failedThere comes a time where the club stops throwing money at buying new centre backs and starts getting the absolute best out of the current lot. As it has been mentioned in the thread with better full backs we will notice more of an improvement in the defensive improvement of game (which isn't as bad as it is made out to be to begin with).
Antonio Rudiger from AS Roma would be my choice, but if we went for an English centre-back, Keane would be a good choice although he is a bit similar to Stones. Ideally would like a bit of power alongside the quality of Stones. There's always players like Lukaku, Carroll etc in the Premier league.
He's the same type of defender as Stones and doesn't seem to be vastly more talanted for me. We don't need him unless we're going to replace Stones right now.Chelsea agreed deal with Roma for Rudiger a player who could have done a job for us............
27th March 2017:
A fortnight until we're back training and there's two quality central defenders off the market who we could easily have bought.
