If we bought Pepe, I'd worry about what we're doing to the average age our our squad. With FFP, it's much wiser to spend your money on players that will have a resale value.

[1]This is so.abu13 said:i am wondering if we are now waiting for the world cup to stat before showing or hand, the reality is that the transfer fees being quoted for the guys identified is unlikely to increase any further by waiting.
There are good reasons to hold off for the moment,
[1]We could spend £30 million on a player now who then gets a serious injury in Brazil.
[2]We will be paying wages now for a player we can not use, if we had signed 3 players now all on £100k a week then that is a one and a half million over 5 weeks.
[3]There may be a hidden diamond that shines in the world cup who might catch our eye.
[4]We may be waiting on others making a move before committing ourselves.

[3]Possibly, but will be an 'young upstart' if any and will not be ready for our league as yet.
[4]We know who we want and will not be sidetracked by what others are doing. I'm sure our management team are focused on our own clubs development rather than worrying over what others are doing or not doing.

Nobody watched him 'regularly' last season. He made 13 appearances and spent the majority of the season injured and he wasn't the only player to struggle.

I'm glad to hear that. Just don't argue with yourself though. That's the first sign of madness [a common trait amongst forum users]!George Hannah said:I find it a such a relief to find a post I wholeheartedly agree withits a Barm said:Ha haI'm no cynic said:Talking to yourself today, George?

Louise picked Rekik ahead of him for the provisonal WC squadSCF08 said:the Dutch are quite surprised that Virgil van Dijk (Celtic) or Douglas (Dinamo Moscow) haven't been called up and there are a lot of Eredivisie players in the squad.....
Daz_Blue said:Rekik said if we signed another center back he would want a move .....
Getting him and a fit Nastastic to go with Kompany and MDM is surely enough ......we can use the money elsewhere like a left winger
