Why are we not in for this guy? Miranda has a 24mil buy out clause, so he'd be cheaper than Managla and Benatia and fill a big need...He had a great season for Atletico last year......

Atletico Madrid defender Joao Miranda is on the brink of signing for Manchester United.

AS says Miranda is joining United this summer - and a deal is "almost complete."

The Brazilian centre-back starred for Atleti last season, as they won La Liga and reached the final of the Champions League.

But now he looks set to leave the Vicente Calderon, and United will reportedly be his destination.

Because he is essentially 30 years old, with a pretty patchy career untill Simeone came along and got the Atelti side working together like mentalists. I think a lot of people are going to hideously overpay on Atleti players only to discover that they aren't nearly as good when not in that specific system, all fighting for one another under Simeone.

Not to mention he's a RB. We already have 2 very good RB's as it is.
