With a player of his caliber, and with the price he's going at, it should be a no-brainer. There are only so few home-grown players out there who would improve our squad. I say sign him now, worry about the repercussions later.

Graham Hunter has spoken about it. Mundo Deportivo had an article that Chelsea and barca are close to agreeing a fee, and Hunter said the journo who did the article, is very reliable and if he says they're close, it will be sound info.

I only see him going United if us, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool don't want him because I just think he will demand Champions League football.

I will be surprised if Chelsea go for him because I don't see him as a Mourinho type player, and would Fabregas want to play for Mourinho after all his antics against Barcelona when he managed Real Madrid?

You have to be willing to be sacrifice a lot of freedom to play for Mourinho and Fabregas is the type of player that needs freedom in his game to excel.

If we didn't have FFP sanctions I reckon he would be signed and sealed now by us, but at the moment I only see us getting him if we let Yaya go to Barcelona.

Yep graham hunter is sound for info.met him in barca when we were over there.he said moyes wouldn't end the season and van Gaal was taking his job.and messi is the greatest player ever.top guy.
