Replacing Milner.

Milner is offski. Has offers on the table from Liverpool and Arsenal.

Factors in about £10m.

Also expect Kolarov to come into the equation for Benatia plus cash.

As things stand, Yaya still not going anywhere and club no intention of selling.

We are going to be unstoppable, Possibly fab!

Sagna and Fernando next few days.

Getting rid of Milner and Kolarov for Benatia and possibly Fabregas wouldn't make us unstoppable, we'd be lopsided without an equally class attacking left back, and loosing a lot of very useful steel in Milner.

yh, Kolarov is an option we should not be selling, we'd regret it imo as he offers something very few LBs do, none of which we'd be looking to replace him with.

Re: Cesc Fabregas

Could we fund it by selling our young Belgian centre back (not Vinnie, the other one) to NYCFC for £25m and then loaning him back until March to keep him fit and fulfil our UCL quota requirements?

Re: Cesc Fabregas

From marca..

Cesc Fàbregas has decided to leave Barcelona and José Mourinho's Chelsea seems to be his next stop. With Frank Lampard embarking on an adventure in New York, there is a difficult gap to fill and the man from Arenys is the chosen one. The player may have even had a medical at Stamford Bridge last week according to unconfirmed reports.

Fàbregas was in London and various sources have revealed that Chelsea had the player flown over to the British capital on a private jet for a fleeting visit. The deal is far from sealed, however, as Manchester City have made their way back into the running for the midfielder, having seemingly dropped their interest at one stage.

City and Chelsea are the two main sides in contention to sign Cesc. His agent, Darren Dein, was negotiating with several Premiership clubs over the weekend, all too aware of the Spaniard's excellent reputation in England following an eight-year stint at Arsenal.

Barcelona will cash in on Fàbregas this summer. Andoni Zubizarreta will finally make a player sale for a considerable sum of money which is not vastly lower than the fee paid to bring him to the club. All departures in the last five years, with the exception of Yaya Toure, have been financially disastrous for the 'Azulgranas', who have consistently paid over the odds for players and sold on the cheap.

Re: Cesc Fabregas

I don't get the logic of saying Cesc in if Yaya out ( How was that Dids D' ).

They are very different players and its far from like for like.

The loss of Milner's steel could be offset by the capture of Fernando

Many are addressing my post quite literally, where does it elaborate on what else City and the manager would do to address your valid concerns?

'Replacing Milner' was supposed to demonstrate where City are attempting to balance the transfer spending cap this summer, same with Rodwell.

Same can be evidenced with Kolarov and Benatia, unless people believe they are also like-for-like replacements, considering their different positions.

Nothing has changed on Fabregas, we have a strong interest.

I understand the club are wary of revealing ourselves to the market for all our possibles, because of the transfer cap, and the problems it would cause us in terms of moving players on.

The uncertainty with Yaya may not help matters.

The only debate to be had is whether posters believe we are interested?

i believe were deffo interested suppose its weather fabregas is happy to come to us which would be easier with our spanish players or is london the place he really wants

Re: Cesc Fabregas

Two points on Fabregas in my opinion for what it's worth.

1. We must show some interest in a player who is both talented and more importantly Premier league ready and would fit into our team easily. Even if it is just to throw our hat into the ring, putting pressure on others to overpay it makes sense. How many times have other clubs used a situation like this to make it difficult for us to sign someone, it's part of the business side of things. And.
2. Perhaps it puts a bit of pressure on the 'recently prima donna' Yaya - a midfield of the two Fernans plus a Cesc is a realistic option to the big man and maybe by showing a little interest may make Yaya realise the world doesn't just revolve around him and he should stop mucking about with the hand that feeds him?

My personal opinion is that him moving to Chelsea would be a great surprise.

The dots don't seem to join?

He supposedly has great affection for Arsenal, so to undo all that goodwill by moving to a main rival in the city, would be a ballsy move for someone like him.

There are plenty of examples down the years of players not giving a toss, Ashley Cole, springs to mind, but Arsenal only allowed Fabregas to leave because of his desire to go 'home'.

He can compete and get wedged at various clubs. If London is the crucial factor, then Arsenal are missing an open goal and City can do nothing, anyways.

For the record, and perhaps a little example of some journos over-egging it.

The reports state Fabregas is the replacement for Frank Lampard, in light of his announcement yesterday that he was leaving.

That can't be true, as Chelsea still offered Lampard terms to stay, and the timeline is out of whack.

Fabregas arrived back in London last weekend.
