Re: Cesc Fabregas

A welcome addition to our side but he might not want to come.

i really don't see how arsenal can go for another creative midfielder as they already have ozil, ramsey, cazorla, chamberlain and rosicky fighting for the positions.

arsenal need two strikers, a deep lying midfielder/ defensive midfielder and better defensive cover, if they sort that out in the summer they will challenge next season easily.
Walcott, Podolski, Gnabry, Wilshere, Kallstrom and Miyaichi also.

Exaclty, they need to spend money on positions they need additions to.

Their attacking midfield selections are already one of the best in Europe.

Not stopped them buying midfielders in the past when they need forwards.

Their attacking midfield is top notch but they need a top striker or two, a definsive midfielder and more defensive options, if they sort that out they will challenge.

Fabregas would be 30m wasted in my opinion, that money could go towards Cavani.

Re: Cesc Fabregas

More rumors this time saying Barcelona have "offered" Fabregas to City through a 3rd party. Reports are said to originate from Mundo Deportivo but I can't find a damn thing.

Interesting.

I would really like Fabregas at City as I think we need another creative midfielder to rotate with Silva and Nasri.

The fact Fabregas counts as homegrown should almost make this signing a priority.

Re: Cesc Fabregas

I forgot he's homegrown. Would be nice to still have creativity when Yaya and Silva aren't available. He and Fernando would set our midfield for a long time.

Of course. He'd greatly improve the side. Cesc playing alongside Yaya and Silva is the stuff of dreams. Add to that the rumors of Barcelona looking to sell this summer I think this could happen. If it were between City and United I have to think he'd choose the side with Champions League football. However I have to believe he'd pick Arsenal over City if that option were available to him.

This is the original story from Mundo Deportivo. The full story is for subscribers only, though, but it basically says that we're not interested in Messi, but have received an offer for Fabregas by someone who allegedly represents him.

Had Arsenal not signed Ozil then yes but they are absolutely rammed with quality in Fabregas's position and it's not a position they need to spend 30m on, that 30m should be spent towards a forward.

I have a feeling we might go for Fabregas like I said, whether we get him I don't know but if we have these FFP sanctions put in place and we have our squad capped which has to include more homegrown players then Fabregas will become top of the transfer wish list in my opinion as he is the best homegrown player on the market.

Re: Cesc Fabregas

Surely Arsenal have the money to make the 4 or 5 signings to shift up a gear. 4 from 6 for the midfielder positions (Fabregas, Ozil, Wilshire, Ramsey, Cazorla, Chamberlain) would be top drawer. A top DM and striker and they'd be miles further. Then just sort out the defense.

I'd not be surprised if they sold Walcott to United for the usual English player premium. I could see him being willing to go without CL football and being a Giggs-type replacement. Walcott out - Fabregas in would be a dream for Arsenal supporters I'd imagine.

I'd love him at City on one hand and then on the other hand he's a c*nt.
