It has been in the last few weeks I've noticed.

he has quite a few followers and also is mostly retweeted by somewhat respected ITK

IF he has been signed or in the process...we surely are loosing toure

my thoughts, ffp wont see us get a central defender and fabregas.

unless milner is going and we add on to his fee the micah, guidetti and possibly rodwell sales.
I think it is more likely the beast is off to Atletico

Re: Cesc Fabregas

So Garcia is only worth £1 million more than Richards and Guidetti,Fuckin really !

Nope, just showing how 15m could be made up. If we got more than that jobs a good un. :-)

Re: Cesc Fabregas

There is only City and Arsenal possibly interested so I reckon that sight has just taken a punt. If they turn out to be right it will give their/his sight a false sense of credibility

That's not to say they are wrong but how would they know before anyone else?

Would be a top signing if true

2/1 from 16/1 to sign for us

could mean anything.

i am just interested to see who we will be selling to fund fabregas and a central defender if we are to keep yaya.

milner to get first team football and beast to atletico stand out so far.

Re: Cesc Fabregas

I'm getting giddy. Surely if he does come we'd end up playing one up top.

Hart
Zab/Sagna
Kompany
Garay (Just who I want)
Kolarov
Dinho/Fernando
Yaya (Will stay imo)
Nasri
Fabregas
Silva
Aguero

Re: Cesc Fabregas

cant see where he would play without one of the top players being sold - maybe Yaya will get his wish

But not what we need at the mo

Just my thoughts for what it is worth but given the ridiculous sums of money being quoted for CBs, and the fact we have Rekik and Boyata could we not simply spend the money on Fernando, Fabregas, Sagna and back up keeper, which would be under the 49m limit and go with the squad until the winter transfer when there are no limitations on spend. Aug to December, most players are fit not that many games until October, give time for Benatia to cause a bit of discontent in Roma's camp and pick him up in Janauary before we get to the heavy schedule of fixtures. :-)
Sorry if someone has already said but if we pick Benatia up in Jan he wont be able to play till middle of Feb with him going to AFCON

IF he does sign with us ...see toure definitely leaving...a cb and DMF more needed

Re: Cesc Fabregas

Milner in last year of contract and if you believe the press wants out, why not replace him with fabregas, 27 as opposed to 28, both homegrown and if we need another winger we can use Lopes. I don't see signing Fabregas means we have to lose a foreign player such as Negredo or Yaya. I wonder if Yaya got wind that we were signing Fabregas and being insecure thought he would be sold. What a midfield though.

Losing Milner,in return for this lad, makes great sense.

As does the Yaya/Fabregas theory.

I thought these competitions had been moved in line with Euros and all other competitions that is why they had two back to back. Or have I got that wrong.

either that or milner and beast are off giving us funds for fabregas.

Ahead of the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations several European clubs called for a rethink of the tournament's schedule. As it takes place during the European season, players who are involved miss several matches for their clubs.[9]

In January 2008, FIFA president Sepp Blatter announced that he wanted the tournament to be held in either June or July by 2016, to fit in the international calendar, although this would preclude many countries in central and west Africa from hosting the competition (as these months occur during their wet season).[10]

In May 2010, it was announced that the tournament would be moved to odd-numbered years from 2013. This means the tournament will not take place in the same year as the World Cup after 2013. It also meant there were two tournaments within twelve months in January 2012[

I remember hearing the same, but there's nothing on Wikipedia saying anything about June/July.
