If Liverpool sign Lambert, Lallana and Moreno, can they afford Fabregas as well?

Call Brendan Rodgers and ask.
It was a rhetorical question. They made a loss of £50m for season 2012/13 and will be subject to FFP test going forward.

I'd have thought if they sign Lallana, they aren't going to be able to buy Fabregas as well when the priority must be to overhaul their defence

Re: Cesc Fabregas

Guys,

I think Fabregas would be a solid signing but a CB is a lot bigger need at this point....I like Febregas a lot as a player but we'd still be missing our biggest weakness in midfield and that is speed...Other than Navas we have no-one that can scare people on the break...YaYa is pure class and Milner, Nasir, Silva, Garcia are skillful and can make that game winning pass but lack speed and quickness....Watching a team like Real Madrid you notice right away that teams are worried about getting beat on the break and I think that is what we still lack...I just think we have 3 or 4 players that share the same strengths as a "Fabreges" already on the team........30mil is a fair price but I think we are seeing that City are going to have to pull out all the stops, if we want to find a world class CB....that 30mil is going to come in handy...

Thanks

They can afford those players by selling Suarez to Real Madrid later this summer. :-)

YaYa was our best player last year and can do everything and yes he has speed and skill.........we only need to see the Villa game to know that BUT I think you missed my point.........which was Febregas gives up the same as we already have.....if we want to keep winning and keep moving forward and most of all.....win in Europe, we need to add quickness......not another passing machine. There is a place for those type and Silva and Nasir are perfect for that role but we need to compliment those type of players....Febregas is not the answer!

Double figures for goals and assists year on year, not to shabby

I see that as 83 goals in 149 appearances.

Fabregas would improve any team, it's oly because he has Xavi and Iniesta in the same team as him that people don't rate him as highly, those two players will go down as two of the greatest midfielders to play the game and will put most in their shadow.
