You sound like you've been a fan for 35 weeks rather than 35 years.
If Demichelis finds himself marking Fabregas and Costa, then you'd have to ask what Kompany was up to. Defence is all about partnerships and what we saw towards the end of the season was a much improved partnership, once Demichelis was fit and the pair of them had developed an understanding. Out of interest, do you know how many league games we lost when the pair of them played together in defence?

This ! Besides Cesc would have to go against a 3 man midfield of Fernandinho , Fernando and Yaya . Cesc to Chelsea? I wouldn't lose any sleep over that .

I always expect the worst, but I'm also not bothered if we don't win anything next year whilst we take an FFP hit. Winning has never been the main thing about being a City fan - don't let it become that now. Over the next 10 years, I reckon we'll win at least 5 leagues. If next year is an off year, so be it.
