I don't remember any recent quotes, but Txiki Begiristain played a big part in the purchase of Fabregas from Arsenal.

I would have thought he would be very guarded about any interest in players now

With the Barcelona links....the rumours make slot of sense but knowing we have 49mil cap (before we sell anyone) if wouldn't be the best move for the team....Fernando (13mil) plus a move for Fabreges (30mil),,,,would mean no money for a CB........So I guess it comes down to who would improve the overall team more......Fabreges or Benatia??


If we had to sell Ya Ya for Fabregas we are not improving the team, infact it would be a step back...


Serious question for you guys as I don't know a lot about Fernando:

Can Fernando play CB?.....If so, just thinking we might already have found our CB....

Given the job that Fernandinho is usually given to do I'd say he's not behind Fabregas at all. Of course if we do get Fernando and play him and Fernandinho together for some matches then I guess Fernandinho will play in more of the same role as Fabregas.
