This definitely looks like people are making far too much of our Barca connection.

Just look at the reality.

Yaya, Fernandinho, Fernando, Garcia, Silva, Nasri, Milner, Rodwell.

Is he a very good player? Yes. Do we need him? No.

Throw in the fact that we are hamstrung re FFP and this looks even more doubtful. We need a central defender.

As some have said the only way we would go for him was if Yaya left, and at the moment that does not seem on the agenda.

We are behind the eight ball as soon as clubs are able to start totting up our summer spend.

It's the biggest factor.

Every team who wants our players would be able to low ball us right up to transfer deadline day.

I think we will be quite low on Fabregas choice of club....now I only base this on things he has said about us in the past and the majority of it not very complimentary

Sadly, looks like there is plenty of scope for dramatic events at City this summer.

Have you heard anything regards Lampard or is it just the press looking at the interest from NYCFC and making a logical, albeit highly unlikely, jump?

We've clearly put out to the press we aren't interested. Still don't see how this transfer makes sense to us to begin with but good to see we've cooled any interest we might have had
