#MCFC adamant they're not after Fabregas. With #MUFC not in for him either, he won't be pitching up in Mcr bar a dramatic turn of events

Ah, the old 'bar a dramatic turn of events' get-out-of-jail free card.

Sadly, looks like there is plenty of scope for dramatic events at City this summer.

Not if you believe Khaldoon.

We are behind the eight ball as soon as clubs are able to start totting up our summer spend.

It's the biggest factor.

Every team who wants our players would be able to low ball us right up to transfer deadline day.

Yeah, I believe Khaldoon. Benatia deal is not positive sign yet ?

I'm just a cook, mate.

Just a cook.

Under siege Tolm?

Spursmad ‏@SheikhManCity · Regardless of what some papers are saying man utd are in pole position at the minute to land Cesc Fabregas.

Re: Cesc Fabregas

If Fabregas has become available we would be daft not to try and sign him

Signing him means we will probably look at selling either Negredo or Dzeko, perhaps even Jovetic back to Italy?

I don't think we should worry too much about the spending cap, all it means is selling one or two ie Milner, Negredo or Garcia on top of the likes of Rodwell and Micah

Garcia and Milner would bring in about 10m, plus a few million each for Micah and Rodwell should take our spending up to 75m

Fernando 15m
Sagna Free
Fabregas 35m
CB 25m

Personally, i still think Negredo is going back to Spain, if Costa does leave Atletco then he would be an ideal replacement for them. We wouldn't need to replace him if we bring Fabregas in as we would have a fully fit Jovetic as well as Dzeko and Aguero.

Alas, why it may seem like the most obvious transfer in the world to you or I, there will be plenty of factors at play we aren't (and can't) consider. Nature of the game. I think if PSG rock up with 35 million for Yaya we go balls deep for Cesc without a moments hesitation - In fact if we are sure Yaya is leaving I would be amazed if we let him go anywhere else, as he's arguably the only player on the market now close in terms of quality. If we went into next season without either someone will have seriously dropped the ball (Which won't happen).

The attempt to sign him is a 'no brainer', top draw footballer that can play in a few positions, you know the money you're spending is going to be repaid in terms of quality on the pitch, week in week out.

It might be a controversial comment, but if i was given the opportunity to sign Fabregas this summer and offload Yaya to PSG, and both transfer fees 'netting off', then id snap your hands off.
