Cesc Fabregas ok. Next days, Diego Costa and Filipe Luis official too for Chelsea #CFC

No fooking around at Chelsea this summer then.

Exactly

Thought he was nailed on for Sold Trafford, did he snub them or did the scum not want him......

Not fussed about missing out on him to be honest prefer the signings we have lined up

It always got me that Arsenal fans slagged off Nasri, Ade and the rapist but adored Fabregas. In my book he showed a lot more disrespect to Arsenal trying to get a move than the other three.

Still, gone to an English club now and I'd imagine they still havent learned to deal with that yet. So Chelsea v Arsenal should be gif-worthy next season.

Sure, Chelsea are strengthening very well.

But what about the Champions of England
+ a world class centre-back
+ a world class defensive midfielder
+ a high quality right-back
+ (we hope and pray) key players like Aguero/Silva/VK and emerging players like Jovetic/Nastasic not missing huge spells of the season (of course there will be injuries but last year was freakish, only Arsenal were worse off)
+ a manager who will have learned many things after a dodgy settling in period where we dropped points to much of the bottom half away?

Don't write us off. Even with Chelsea's improvements, if we just land that one centre-back and the third top drawer CM (Fernando) we we'll still be favourites IMO.

Wise words.

I sincerely hope that the panic merchants will accept that the signing of Fabregas would still not be sufficient to make them faves next season.

We won the league with Kun, Merlin and Vinny missing large slabs of the season, and also giving the others a big head start with those early away losses. Also don't forget that Chelski knocked us off twice. We just need to get a result at home to see an improvement on that front.

What makes this disappointing (away from a very good player going to a rival) is how quickly, efficiently, and with no fuss chelsea go about their business.

We have some quality guys doing it for us now, and they did exactly what was required last summer, BUT when you see Chelsea get £40m for Luiz, and get Fabregas signed before the world cup you have to say they really know what they are doing. They have got key business done before the world cup, which we know is important.

Anyway, it's 12th June, we will get exactly what we need, I am sure.

Really I didn't even bother if he went to Chelsea from the start. First of all we got Silva even if Fabregas might play a bit deeper, Silva is just on a whole different level. Same goes for Yaya who's just a monster. Then when you think the likes of Yaya, Fernandinho, and Fernando as the central midfielders is just stunning. Personally I've watched Fabregas play so guys please don't be disheartened, I haven't been impressed by him at all. Some of you guys think oh it's Fabregas and he plays for Barcelona it's something amazing. And think of it this way, if he's so good why would Barcelona be so willing to let him go and get Rakitic instead? The fans just wanted him off so badly and I'm so glad he didn't come to us and went to Chelsea. I'm so excited for Fernando to come. He's the real deal and I'll be so happy with our midfield when Fernando is here. I'm not kidding but with Fernando, our midfield will probably be the best in world football, I kid you not. I would be so disappointed if we got Fabregas and not Fernando. But this is only my opinion.

They must be planning on playing him deeper, otherwise there would be no reason to sell Mata and buy this guy. Chelsea should be a good team next year, but I still think we're better if we play to form.

Meh, bit rubbish, but he's not the sort of player for Mourinho. If we can keep Aguero fit we'll still piss it. Highly unlikely Mourinho will have another trophyless season though.

Is this the Fabregas that slagged us off for being a team of mercenries? And he's gone to Chelsea?

Correct, not a lot seem to remember he slagged us off and the fact he isn't that great makes it not a problem he's gone Chelsea.

Chelsea will be the main challenge next season they have a hell of a team. Keeping Aguero fit all season is a must.

Sounds to me like the ultimate mercenary! He's going to play for a manager that tried to kick him, one that he's hated for years, one that he told to shut up...well I guess 200k a week brings on some selective memory loss for Cesc!

TBH I'm not bothered by this. Chelsea are welcome to him. Not sure he'll add much to their game although I recognise they'll be pushing us all the way again. I have faith City know what's needed to win again and they'll get the job done both in getting what we need and in winning again.

He's a hugely overrated player and hasn't got the physical power to be an elite player.
He's also mentally weak, how many strops did you see him pull when Arsenal hit their self-destruct button in March? He's a lovely 'footballer', nice feet and can get on the end of things BUT but a luxury and couldn't cut it at his home town club, not in the games that mattered anyway.
I'm not bothered by this at all, don't believe the hype with this guy.
