CFG Expansion | Başakşehir to join? (p70)

A LOT, I mean a lot a lot, of fit women in Ukraine. I feel the need to point this out for some reason.

I have seen them in Dubai. They are all fit.(especially one who sticks out in my memory) All of them. But you have to pay. Top tip. Learn basic Ukranian.

Pretty sure NYC fans don't hate us because we are Arab owned. Most were, and still are rags, dippers and et al before NYC existed. They'd not support City even if we were owned by the Anglican Church.

If they were previously (plastic) dippers and rags etc, why choose to support a new founded club under the CFG at all? Just logically stupid, even for Septics.

Because despite the name, they are in New Jersey. New Yorkers wanted a team of their own based in the city
New York Jets American Football team also play in New Jersey.

Much of New Jersey comes within the New York Metropolitan area along with parts of Connecticut.

In any event, since when has geography had that much to do with football support?

There are hoards of United fans who travel to Old Trafford from South East England and even some from Manchester.

Russian will work too. I knew a wonderful Ukrainian woman. She, and her friends, spoke primarily Russian. According to her, most Ukrainians have no problem speaking Russian other than some from the western part of the country who see themselves as "patriots" and language purists, etc.

Out of interest not sure it goes here but Cook allegedly sold the club to the Sheik on the basis of a few things the whole City United things the land and the price and the idea of everything in the world potentially being branded city which goes with anything

If the CFG is Soriano idea rather than the sheiks or Khaldoons what’s happening with Cooks idea given it worked so well originally in selling the club to the sheik rather than him buying all the other clubs he could have

How the hell buying clubs most people have never heard of is going to help Manchester City is beyond me
In the grand scheme of things it might be good business for the owners but ain't a clue what it does for our club
Its branding exercise. The "City" brand is marketed across the world like this, without relying on pre season friendlies, instead giving the brand constant exposure in these markets.

All this leads to increased exposure for Manchester City, because when you see the words "City Group" or one of those clubs you immediately think Manchester CIty. (by this I mean the people in those markets)

This is the whole point of this.

Soriano wanted to do this with Barca, but was denied.

The fact that many still don't have a clue about the point of CFG, just shows how far ahead of time our execs are.

It might be ok for " our brand" but still don't see how it will help us as a club
Should just concentrate on City

On read the whole thread, but assuming the usual suspects are now holding our owners responsible for pinochet and the annexing of crimea?

Do you think they aren't concentrating on City? Each club runs on its own with them only coming together at a very senior level. Brad Rouse and Brad Sims run Melbourne and New York, the CFG support is there for all to benefit from. Idea that the next Suarez comes to Spain for a £3M fee, becomes a budding £50M superstar but sold in house to City for £30M. Money stays in the group and we sing his name in the South Stand. It can be a cash cow just look at Aaron Mooy, we got him on a free from Melbourne sold on to Huddersfield in the end. If we got the full £10M it means CFG set up the other MCFC and built the training ground near enough for free.
