You're talking about fair value, which is a different test to related party.

Something I dont understand is the way it works in Spain, I cant remember which but doesnt Barca/RM have a presidential election every few years where the winner is basically the one who promises to buy the most expensive footballers. They use club funds to buy the players.

Adidas don’t sponsor Bayern out of the goodness of their hearts.

They sponsor Bayern because it is in their commercial interests.

It is in their commercial interests because they own part of the club.

To suggest this is ideologically any different to Mansour investing his own money in City is an excellent demonstration of the attitude that created FFP in the first place.
