Champions League Draw | QF - Bayern Munich | SF - Real Madrid

So Bayern sack their manager because they're a point behind the leaders at the business end of the season?

This is the ultimate proof that Bayern are self-entitled twats who believe they've a god given right to comfortably win the Bundesliga every season.

FFP? As long as the European elite keep hoovering up their domestic & European trophies, all's well with the world. If a newly minted upstart disrupts that hegemony, that's an absolute no no as City have found out.

Fuckin bent bastards! :-/

They've fired Nagelsmann because they were worried they wouldn't win the league and CL, and in doing so 1 week before the biggest games of their season, they've made it much more likely they lose the league and CL.

It reminds me of when a club like Everton would spend loads of time and energy getting into the late stages of the Europa League, then make 10 changes and throw the 1/4 final because they had a league game coming up they needed to win to make sure they finished in the Europa league spots next year.

Just out of interest, does anybody know roughly how many tickets were remaining when they went on sale to Cityzens this morning?

I saw a post yesterday saying about 12,000 left but that would mean something like 35,000 or more season ticket holders bought a ticket for the game when you factor in away fans and any hospitality tickets located in the various stands. I'm not sure how many ST holders we have these days. I've seen a figure of 40k banded about so 35k+ ticket sales to ST holders alone on day one (both cup scheme and non-cup scheme) seems on the high side, given that a considerable number of ST holders tend not to do CL home games for whatever reason.

You’re working on the assumption that all tickets are made available through the club website. Which they’re not. Many are sold direct to third parties to re-sell.

I'm a little surprised that this one has sold out as quickly as it has and I'd still be surprised if the FA Cup semi sells out. But I won't be as surprised as I would have been a few days ago. There is definitely a surge in our support this season. In the past, I've often been unable to shift my season ticket when I can't make a game. I've not had a problem at all this season on any occasion.
Completely with you there JW, I posted the other day our small (but perfectly formed) unofficial Supporters club couldn’t raise enough for a 16 seater to last years FA Cup semi. We have 12 already for Sheff United, May have 3 seats available from Tameside area if anyone is interested, £40, bring your own food and booze, allowed on our bus, not by law though! We keep one seat spare for our disabled member to transport her wheelchair.

True, but how many would that be realistically? 2000? 5000? 10000? I doubt that it would be the latter

I’ve absolutely no idea. I doubt anybody but a select few people at the club do.

What I do know is that out of interest I’ve just been on Sportsworld’s website and put 24 tickets for this game in the basket, and it appeared to be directing me straight to payment no problem.

If I remember correctly under Hughes we couldn't defend corners for toffee. Roberto pulled more men back for corners and .... wow! we defended them better.

:) I remember we were letting three goals a game in. Even if we scored three it would only be a point. At least I remember it that way. Crazy. Then Mancini came in and within a few weeks one goal was all we needed .... It was the beginning of the end of typical City for me, could watch a game in relaxed mode and it's been that way ever since, other than for a few blips.
